Always awesome to see people’s reactions to finding out how much even a stock improve tune can improve the performance on a bike! Also, that’s a cool dyno 😏
If you go to that "Real Talk Powersports" web page you can find before and after ECU flash dyno results for the stock 300 and 450 + results for the 450 with different pipe and air box mods. Looks to me that most of the 450's Slipon/flash improvements came from the ECU mods and additional improvements can be had with a full exhaust system that incorporates a cat delete.
This is exactly what i was looking for. I like getting more performance out of low CC bikes. They are light, cheap and reliable also neutered at the factory for emissions. This is how they should of actually be sold
Generally it’s not emissions but more A2 compliance. The Ninja 500 is point and case as well, from 42-44 whp to 56-58 whp from what I’ve seen. Pretty crazy power jumps… very, very noticeable on a small, 370 lb bike…
@@sleeper.simulant7327 It's not A2 compliance. At least not in this case. For A2 a bike has to make less than 70kW (95hp) and is then restricted to half of that for the A2 license holder, and unrestricted once a full license is acquired. The 450 isn't being restricted here.
@@sleeper.simulant7327 Then you are wrong. A fully stock 450 is not A2 compliant because it makes 50HP, and therefore has to be restricted to 47hp. In fact, even if it made 45 more HP it could still be restricted.
So in other words, you got back the power that you never would have lost, had you not spent completely-unnecessary money on a different exhaust, when the original was "free" and worked perfectly. Got it.
OC. It might just be me, but the 450 sounded like it was revving higher, and the 300 sounded like it was much much smoother. I'm looking forward to seeing what the flashes did to each bike. Hope you're doing better, Chase.
oh man... where i live (argentina) there is a huuuuuge scene for these new cfmotos. Since kawasaki and yamaha went crazy with their prices for the ninja 400 and mt03 (about 12k USD thanks to import tariffs) the 450ss is like 8k usd here. I've seen at least 4 of these 450ss with full custom exhaust, racing filter and velocity stacks making lik 65hp at the crank (58/60 at the wheels) giving a run for its money to stock mt07's. Thats absolutely crazy if you ask me.
Hope all is good chase. Motorcycle accidents no joke. People 1st hobbies 2nd. Love your content. You inspired me to get my permit and buy my 1st bike, and work on it this summer. Finally gonna join. Get well stay safe. go team cfmoto. I couldn't get my hands on one.some day, one day. good luck to everyone.
I just bought a '22 650NK for my wife and Team MSC's tune for that bike seems to really liven up the lower part of the range. I may see about having them flash our ECU some time since the low-to-midrange is where ~80% of throttle changes happen. Would love to have you guys do a before and after on that particular model.
Yoshimura claims you don't need a ecu tune. They created for this bike specifically. No air box mods no ecu flash. Still gain about 6 ponys. Just saying . Happy trails hope your feeling better.
Thought I would share the info been doing some research on the 450ss cause I’m looking to buy stock dyno numbers seem to be 44hp so 51 after tune and exhaust is pretty impressive !
OC: Pretty much the power gains I expected. Having 50hp at the crank and then making 51hp at the wheel. With an exhaust and flash will generally make up for drivetrain power loss going from crank to wheel. Giving you the claimed crank hp, but now as wheel hp. The only other way to get significant power gains beyond that is to go full bore and build your bike out to a race bike with full race exhaust and rework the engine internals and cut some weight outta the bike.
To get torque readings we would have needed to get access to a plug wire and we unfortunately just didnt have time to dig into the bikes that much that day. - Patty Rick
51hp to the wheels is probably 55-56 to the crank, even more... so is like a 10hp jump from the factory.. and they say 50hp but in reality would be closer to 48 factory because euro regulations... AND is not only about top end power, is about engine response, elasticity, recuperation, retention, etc, etc, etc... so... even when you don't gain much HP, a tuned engine feels like a tuned engine... edgy, direct and agressive.
300 ss makes about 26hp with a tune. An R3 makes about 42hp with a tune and exhaust and the bike only costs $900 more. It’s the same story with the 450ss. The R7 and ZX4R absolutely crush it for around $1000 more. Don’t buy a CFMOTO unless you’re just really into making bad value purchases. Both the 450ss and 300ss should be on Amazon for half their price.
thr r7 and zx4 cost closer to 3k more and if our dealership makes deals like my local one did its literally half the price for 80% of an r7 with the same exhaust note and the zx4rr isnt a comparison concidering they dont even use the same type of engine
İ wouldnt recomend, taking the ecu out for dino.because every city has its own atmosphere(air presure + weather condition).its better to take the bike itself for testing the performance.the chanses of getting top power gets higher by doing that and also taking ecu out for making changes is called "remapping" not "dino"

Cool Dyno indeed. And of course you would never be biased lol. Thanks for the comment!
You should’ve done a dyno run before you did any modifications to the motorcycle to get a baseline
Totally agree but I'm a noob at this and didn't realize you needed to do that. Next time we'll handle it before!

Dynojet numbers is fake! What u think is wheel is actualy crank. Its proven many times. U got 51hp and its not wheel

A tune isn't needed for a slip on. A tune is required if you do a full system exhaust, and you're deleting sensors and cat.
catbacks can require a tune but regarding bikes yea i think its not necessary
oh yea, finally getting my dose of cf moto content. its been a while chase
Awesome video guys! Cant wait to see y’all’s thoughts when y’all get out and ride them and twist that throttle back 🤘

The yoshi is much higher flow and the MSC tune adds a huge amount of power in combination.
Mark is awesome! He's tuned a couple of my bikes in the past... did great work on my Streetfighter 1098...

Dynojet Powervision worked for my MT09, they probably have a tune for CFMotto as well.
Love from japan ❤
Hopefully they will be able to tune the 450 Ibex due out in a month or so, would like to see the gains on that!
love the lando norris shirt
That 300 is in desperate need of a good pipe, poor things sounds like it's choking!

What is the top speed the 450ss reached after the flash?
Can they do the Papio too?
that looks like the same dyno my mechanic has sadly no flash tuning in my area so only power commander map
Why no measurement of torque? Would be nice to see that increase too. Also no air/fuel ratio visible. Great video whatsoever 😁

my local dealer has a huge sale on 450ss because they didnt move any. considering trading my R3 in 👀

What dealer is this, in California these are selling the most
Do it! I have an 450 NK now, had a Ninja 300 (comparable to your R3). The 450 is just in a whole other ballpark, you won't regret it.
I was about to say it sounds like aeound 40hp on the dyno. Kinda sad vs duke 390/rc390 with same mods
