My family had a cabin in eastern Washington during the 60s and 70s. We had to drive through North Bend coming and going. The traffic was always horribly backed up trying to get through the one stoplight in town on sunday afternoons. The town was bypassed altogether when I-90 was expanded years later. We no longer had the cabin, but it made going skiing on Snoqualmie Pass much easier.
