I saw another video earlier 2day where a woman took 6 strands of what I think might have been macrame cord?,& kinda braided/wove them into a like rounded off shape. I was actually looking for that to watch again, but am glad I came across & got to watch & try this becuz I was immediately able to pick up & memorize the last 3 styles that I didn't know b4 this(the two 5 strand methods & the flat 6 strand method)w/out making as many mistakes. It's like I got a better sense of the flow of these braids from the way you presented them.Thank you so much for sharing w/us!
Yes Tank you sir👍. I want to make a sling, but I've never braided anything. I searched squint for a good and perfect explanation. Thank you very much. Greetings from the Netherlands.
I always just take the same side and weave under-over-under-etc all the way then repeat. I think it's easier to keep track of and isn't affected by the number of strands
Or I guess I might happen to run across one while looking for other videos that teach braiding, weaving, multiple strands 2gether.(I'm kinda trying to learn as much about braiding/weaving using different materials & like yarn/cord/rope making).
That would likely be better done using a knitters spool - Like this one: www.paracordplanet.com/double-sided-knitting-spool-multiple-sizes/?sku=JPS-JIG-KSM-&gclid=Cj0KCQiAuefvBRDXARIsAFEOQ9F5_s2ZPZg-VQoK9mZV7bWBSwaO3xU0FimS51IePxuwYdT4Qo8yS4UaAtz7EALw_wcB

Thank you. I just started working with paracord and this helped me more then you know.

Wish I could see an example of what you just described. Do u know if there's like another tutorial video that shows how to do it?

I also use the method you talk about.
For the 6 cord braid: Why only cross 2 cords from the right, but cross 3 cords from the left?
Could u show how to do a 12 strand(6 strands folded in half over a clip for a dog leash or horse lead rope) round braid? Thanks!

The "i" is silent in plait, its just plat.
I've always heard it pronounced "plat" not "plate", though it's spelled plait. 🤷
you're right, the "i" is silent.
