- Опубліковано 29 гру 2019
- Feeding all these animals can be a real chore especially in the winter. But, having these easy and almost free pallet hay feeders has been life a bit easier. This feeder can be made with just 3 pallets and takes about 30 minutes to assemble. It can be used to feed goats, sheep, horses, and cows easily.

Awesome. I am doing this tomorrow
Excellent, functional and free! Two of my favorite things.
Thank you 😊
Great job
That pallet puller is quite effective! I didn't even know they existed.
I’ve never paid for a pallet and I never will 👍🏻👍🏻
Can't wait to hear more about the cow!
i love it
I got the same pallet buster. It's the easiest way to get them apart without messing up the wood
Just the right size to throw the nail in.
Thank you Brian may all your days be filled with sunshine and smiles. Hey if it's free and last a few years and does it's job how can you get any better.
Very nice video I turned bowl out of them
If it only last year it is still worth the effort
I really like the look of that hay feeder! Thanks for sharing with us. Blessed New Year to you and the girls! Shalom!
What a great idea . You don't want to be using pressure treated wood for feeders . Love that pallet buster . Pallets are free all over . Many pallets are in perfect condition but many companies are only allowed to use them once . Some kind of safety thing . Your crazy if you pay for a pallet . Lots of companies have them stacked out front for you to help yourself . Good price on that pallet buster .
This hay feeder is great. Thanks for the ideas. I like to keep things strong and practical on the homestead.
Love your video !Happy New Year! God Bless! 🙏 Keep your videos coming 😊!
Great video! This actually gave us some ideas for some of our animal pens. 👍👍👍 Thanks for sharing this.
Slick work. Looks like you had a good helper. That pallet puller looked like it worked pretty well. Thanks for sharing.
It worked a lot better than I thought it would!
Wonderful tutorial! Going to find pallets tomorrow.
Cool idea! Amazing....cant wait to try this.
Easiest and best design I found so far. Will be making one today for my sheep, thank you.
Oh this is perfect, thank you!
Looks great, very well done. Happy New Year!
I like it 👌 thank you. For sharing.
Very good job , looking forward to all your new videos in 2020
On our first bus conversion we used pallet wood we got a ton of pallet wood for free from a storage facility that shipped things. I was thinking you could use a wood stain like deck wood to preserve the pallet. Maybe a fun project your girls could paint it with paint and make it pretty LOL I also thought if you put two pieces of wood on the side and a cross piece in the middle and a piece of tarp you can make a raise umbrella for days when it rains. Just a thought lol. I love that you have your little girl help out that is so awesome. Till next time, God bless.
James and I hope you have a very happy and blessed new year. 😁🎊
If you ask at Walmart or Home Depot in my area, they allow you to take the non painted wood pallets. The white pallets.
You have a great help er there
Happy New Year to you and family best for 2020
Nice job on the video!
Very nice! It works well. I wouldn't trust my horse, Honey, with it . . . 😜 I recently built a hay feeder out of free pallet wood for my new goats. I was fortunate that my pallet source also had some free pressure treated lumber out a couple times. I used some of it to make feet for my feeder so it would last a little longer. And yes, I posted a video about the build.
YES They are FREE EVERYWHERE You LOOK !! LOL Be nice if you could put a Pallet on TOP so the Hay Don't get WET !! Thank You Sir !! Happy New Year !!
My wife and kids say "Hi Maple!" Haha!
She says "moo"
good day .
there is a deposit on euro pallets ,
which is why companies want the used pallets with EPAL & EUR (euro) on them to be branded and are therefore NOT FREE .
the pallets without those branding are in one-off or consumable pallets .
these pallets are usually FREE
(Euro pallet deposit is an alternative for the valuation of used euro pallets and is somewhere between € 2 and 4.50 each. Companies can return their unwanted piles of euro pallets to a pallet dealer for a fee. The amount that you get for this depends, among other things, on the condition of the pallet and the demand within the market Pallet traders are free to determine the amount they offer for the pallets, usually the price minus transport is calculated (source: Google).
Tip :
if you grab 4 pallets you can also make a climbing device for the goats
1 pallet to climb / walk upwards diagonally,
2 pallets between them,
and 1 again to be able to walk / climb downwards diagonally.
We wish you a good, happy and healthy New Year from Terneuzen in the Netherlands.

You can’t find free pallets anywhere anymore. Every place I go to that has pallets want $10-$15 each. So many people are using them for DIY projects now.
Hi I was just tempting to make this feeder I can't seem to line up the pallets evenly....or does one side stick out about 3". They are the same size pallets I checked to make sure....
I like it. Have tried removing slats and nails and typically split the wood. Any suggestions? Would like to build this for my horses.
Use sawzall to cut nails between slat and the 2x4 support
I see signs ALL over...free pallets!......if not....go in and ask!
What breed is your cow? Looks a lot like mine
SSLFamilyDad, is it okay if I use information from this video to teach young agricultural students how to build a hay feeder?
Yup, use it how you please for that purpose
I like your pallet destructor. How many of the 99 pallets do you have left? Lol.
Well the first 99 are all gone, this is the second load we just got
No jackets? We’re bundled up here in Cali.
That's because this is our first winter in almost 10 years where we are getting rain and snow lol. I am in southern Cali I almost forgot what real rain was...
You need to remember that here in Michigan were used to sub zero this time of year so 40 plus is short sleeve weather if your moving around and working
Its going to be a long winter according to farmers almanac.
I hope not....
The Cynic And be from March - June 😂
