    Another note on Tennessee, sorry to ramble at you guys, appreciate the show, Tennessee has been running a lot more 12 personnel to help with the numbers problem you mentioned. It has resulted in less possessions and maybe less explosives (though they’ve had many opportunities they just didn’t execute). I don’t know that this change fixes the problem, but it certainly is an adjustment worth watching

    I think Ga o-line has struggled all year and that has caused no run game, which makes Beck feel pressure to play hero ball and force. This game imo comes down to whether Kirby lets the d-line loose, or plays a slow rush to watch for the scrabble approach. Hope they let em go get ball. Ga Dawgs!

    Josh, if you watch Tennessee’s offense you see the issues are execution far more often than schematic. Certainly the defense can do things schematically that make execution more challenging, but Nico overthrowing open receivers and open WR dropping passes is not in line with your analysis. And you clearly think this way sometimes because you don’t give the Vols defense credit for what they did to Milroe. You attributed his struggles to bad passes. So I don’t really get it. I mean obviously we’ll learn more Saturday, but from a season long analysis standpoint your insistence that defenses have “figured it out” doesn’t appear to map onto the opportunities missed by the Vols offense. (But the Vols defense is the beneficiary of bad play of opponents)… just doesn’t compute!
    Anyway, still love y’all’s work and will keep listening/watching, but this inconsistency of analysis/persistence in believing the Heupel system has been figured out isn’t resonating with what I see. (Nor others. Cole Cubilic had a nice little blurb about this a few weeks back).

    • @MH-0101
      @MH-0101 2 дні тому

      No one “figured” out his offensive system. The clock rule changes rendered his system nearly obsolete. The only question now is how long will it take Heupel to realize it and change his scheme.

      You didn't see Milroe missing wide open passes or not running when he had 30 yards of green grass? Both can be true (Tenn defense played decently, and Milroe played the worst game of his career) In fact, that was the lowest QBR by a Bama QB since Jalen Hurts 2017. @@MH-0101not sure what the clock has to do with anything but this year's team does not play nearly as fast as previous years. They slow it down much more often and actually vary their splits. Not always sideline to sideline anymore. I think everything we've seen from tennessee this season has been building up to this game. They spent all off season trying to get more physical and win games differently than relying on the deep ball. I think that's why it's been jarring to the eye because it's not high flying anymore but truly a smash mouth scheme that can hit timely passes

    Nico has been playing better every week. Most of the offensive down turn can be explained by a dreadful showing (mostly by Nico) at Arkansas and a bunch of missed opportunities for big plays across the Florida and Bama games. By keeping Tennessee at 7 in the rankings, and jumping 2 teams ahead of them this week, I think the committee is maneuvering to drop UT out of playoff contention if the Vols lose. The committee wants 4 SEC teams, not 5, which it frankly deserves. We'll see how it unfolds, and I hope I'm wrong. As a Dawgs fan, I think a 10-2 Tennessee definitely deserves to be in the playoffs over teams with sparkling records and cushy schedules. Even if Tennessee's schedule is weaker compared to other SEC contenders, it definitely isn't weaker than a single Big 10 schedule, not to mention the lesser conferences.

    Georgia 21-17 But I will say if Beck starts with early picks this could turn out
    an opposite score result. . The key for Georgia is momentum
    not squandered due to turnovers. The only momentum Georgia had against
    Ole Miss was in the first 5 minutes of the game. Even against Alabama as
    poorly as that game started this was not the case. It is hard to imagine
    it happening to Georgia at home even with their OL struggles. That is
    if Beck plays ok. Beck is better at home so I think he will be alright

    Some incorrect statements were made.
    1) UT has 2 pass rushers in the top 25 of pass rush win% (PFF). Ole Miss has 1 in the top 50. Bama has 2 in the top 25. Tennessee absolutely has a better DL than Ole Miss. You clearly did not research that specific fact. You guys are smart enough to know that sacks is an unstable statistic and that pressure rate is a significantly better indicator of a teams pass rushing ability.
    2) Tennessee did not have to "grind" out 25 points on the road against Oklahoma. The score was 22 - 3 going into the 4th quarter. Oklahoma was getting destroyed. Did they have mistakes and missed opportunities? Of course, but it was not a slow grind to get 25 point. That kind of framing makes it sounds like it was a tough close game when it never was.
    Everything else is fair analysis. I disagree with UGA being able to score 25+, but that's because I think UT's DBs are better than you are giving them credit for.

    This is a playoff game for the Dawgs. Lose and they are out. Also, 2 more UGA RBs hit the injury report, including Etienne.

      A 10-2 Tennessee with wins over Georgia and Bama is a playoff lock.

    • @dominicclark5342
      @dominicclark5342 2 дні тому

      @TheKingRiku I was referring to the sec championship. Which I thought he was referring to. Perhaps I misunderstood. With that said, a 10-2 TN with losses to Arkansas and Vandy isn't a lock when common opponent outcomes with other 10-2 teams is the factor. Especially if Texas loses to the Aggies and beats Arkansas. Maybe it's more about who your losses are to rather than who your wins are over.

    Pearce is good my ass. You're not looking at pressure rate, teams scheme to avoid sacks. Pearce is like 15% above the #2 player in the conference.

    Nico injury is fake. UT knows they will lose this game by 14+ with or without Nico. Might as well sit him so you can have the "we didn't have our QB" excuse come playoff selection time.

    How are we favored?? and by that much? We suck. Like genuinely suck. I know UGA owns Tennessee like nobody else but that shouldn't matter when Beck is bad, the WRs and TEs are bad, the OL is meh & the defense is bipolar.

    • @apierre6
      @apierre6 2 дні тому

      I'm not sure if you watched Tennessee play this year but their offense is even worse than ours. Also Tennessee doesn't play well on the road in Georgia plays pretty well at home. Keep in mind that all of Georgia's big games this season have been on the road

      @@Dawg-Bone We got some turnover luck and the D-line had a generational game we've seen like twice in 2 years now. I wouldn't bet on that again. Plus the offense was still bad.

      Dude, we're 7-2 against the literal hardest schedule in the country with our two losses coming on the road to top 11 teams, and we have two wins against top 25 teams including a beatdown of the #3 on the road.

    If Nico is healthy, I think you’re wrong. They’ve been playing much better offensively. Nico played a very good game against Alabama, and was on his way to blowing out state before he went down with this mysterious injury 😂. We’ll see, but the offense has been right there in my opinion. Georgia ain’t the same.
