- Ciao friends! Today's vlog was shot back in March (as you can probably tell) but I finally had time to finish editing it. I mention my trip back to the United States (which already happened) and it got off to a rocky start so I actually didn't end up making any videos while I was there. I hope you enjoy this video where I show you a lot more of the beautiful city of Bologna! I just discovered your channel. I studied Italian with a native speaker for about 8 months and learned a lot but she was not a great teacher, was disorganized and seemed distracted during lessons. We did not converse much in Italian and I got frustrated because I could barely understand spoken Italian so I took a break. I started back on my own and now I feel more motivated and inspired when listening to you and others who share learning tips. My goal is to listen to more italian using your suggestions and learn on my own. Im enjoying your videos so much! Grazie Mille!

How was visiting the US? Did it feel weird?
It was super strange! Everything felt super familiar obviously but I felt really out of place. It was like I was visiting my old life and I was really certain that Italy is where I’m meant to be now ☺️. Also it was interesting to see certain routines Americans have that I forgot about, how everyone has SO much stuff, stores are so big, etc. It was nice to visit but I’m happier living here!
@@SheaJordan ahhh that’s how I have always felt when returning to the US! I’ve been consistently living here now since the pandemic and I was just telling my friend how I have noticed I’ve become more attached to things that I never felt when I would live anywhere else.
Like I am dying to go to a language school in another country and go back to living outside the US but I’ve become attached to all the possessions I’ve acquired here. For example I finally have a proper kitchen with a blender a food processor proper measuring tools and pans…and for some reason getting rid of all that and random other furniture feels difficult which I know is just americas capitalism trying to keep me here 😭
Hello, I'm a French student who would like to spend two months in Bologna. Do you have any local contacts who could help me find accommodation? Do you have any good ideas for students? Do you advise me to use public transport or to take my car?
Sorry, I don’t know anyone. Also for two months it may be difficult, but you could try Facebook groups to find openings or rent an Airbnb or vacation rental. A car is definitely not necessary for Bologna, you can easily walk anywhere or get to other cities by train!

Vivo da 10 in Germania, lavoro per una azienda tedesca, scrivo, telefono e parlo tutto il giorno in tedesco...ma in 10 anni non sono al livello del tuo italiano che hai imparato in un anno di residenza in Italia
