New Order - Blue Monday (chisel316 cover)
Uploaded five years ago and discovered today. One word. AWESOME
It's crazy! I really can't explain it. The view graph looks like the start of a rollercoaster ride. June 17 I had six views and June 27 I had 676 views in one day! I'm enjoying the ride. Eventually it will start going downhill! 🤣
@@chisel316 Hahaha. Absolutely awesome man. Enjoy the ride up. We ain't coming down. Blessings!
@@Ekam-Sat Thanks, Sven! I really appreciate the kind words. Peace \/
I have seen a few good covers of Blue Monday but they were made within a DAW. This is the best live cover I have seen! Great job!!
Thanks, Jose. I really appreciate your compliment.
I'll add my sentiment to the postings... why did it take me 5 years before I finally got to hear your version? Well done sir! As a former Nightclub DJ this was one of my favorite requests to play back in the day, and of course it was so easy to mix in and out of. Thanks for the memories!
Simple answer: it took five years for UA-cam's algorithm to discover this video and post it for the masses lol. Thanks for the kind words and for sharing your sentiment, John. I really appreciate it. Peace \/
My God man, your setup looks like the coolest audio cockpit ever!
You glued that together so SO well! Bloody brilliant! It's always so interesting watching a track you know intimately unfold, anticipating the sections and wondering how they will be played. Absolutely loved this.
Thank you so much for the kind words, obscura! I had a lot of fun making this video, as I do with all of my videos here. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Peace \/
6 years later but im here 😁 Good job man! I love this song, nice cover!

My pleasure! Thanks for the request. I'm glad you like it. Peace \/.
A lot of mistakes especially when you play the pads at the beginning.
I tend to get nervous when the camera is rolling, but it's more exciting to record it live in one take. ☺

Thanks, super gamer! Yes, you can't go wrong with the DX. It makes a great controller for other gear as well since it has the nice display for easily setting the MIDI transmit and receive channels.

This is what you call surround sound
Афарин егет!!
Niiiiiice!
Thanks, Daniel!
What synth did new order typically use on their bass lines? I have not really ever heard their bass synths reproduced. Fuckin great cover though
Thanks! You haven't heard their bass lines properly reproduced with a synth because Peter Hook played a real bass guitar! 😀 He used a Yamaha BB bass guitar.
No I mean all the synth arpeggios such as like on blue monday or perfect kiss. First ones that came to mind. Some of those are kind of mid range but seem to take the place of the a bass in some occasions. Like on perfect kiss I know hook was basically like playing his bass like a lead instrument way down on bottom of neck
@@forevershampoo Ah, gotcha! Probably a Moog Source, according to some articles and a gear list from that time period.
Amazing job you did there
Thanks, Santiago! I'm glad you like it. 😀
