I think the show has potential, but is currently missing the mark with connecting the characters and the list to the future. Similar to how Anne (from Amphibia) grows throughout the series, present Hailey should have to learn, through the list, how to be the "actualized" future Hailey that will go on to save humanity. For example (off the top of my head): The fish taco episode could have been a great way to discuss the harm of polluting the ocean and how that will affect marine life, and by proxy our own. You can still have the giant fish, but have it where it only looked scary due to pollutants. The competition gets put on hold once the people realize that the fish they are using/eating might be contaminated. Afterwards, you can have Hailey win by default by providing "faux fish" or some other fish alternative. This way we now have a glimpse into Hailey's environmentalism as well as her completing an item on her list. Hailey in the "western" episode felt a little mean spirited when she was going against the younger children. I would have written her to slowly realize how unenjoyable she was making the experience for the other kids. She would then begin helping the other children and one of them would be made sheriff. The -raiders- bikers can still be involved, but have it where she and the old man cannot stop them alone, the children are too uncoordinated, and the parents/tourists(?) are being passive bystanders. Hailey has to rally everyone as a _community_ to fend off the bikers. Extra credit if the town and bikers learn to get along and help each other in the end. Thus, Hailey learns that alone we are weak, together we are strong, and building a community involves working with many different people and their differences. These are my brief thoughts on how I feel the show ought to be going. Final note, I hope the show does a few twists and turns like in Gravity Falls. Maybe Hailey is the real villain (somehow...)? Regardless, I am caught up and willing to continue keeping an eye on it. Keep up the great work Zeez.
I think that one of my issues with Hailey’s on it is that in the first episode, the plot was just thrown in your face within the first couple of minutes of the show, and I kinda wish that there was more time before Hailey found out about having to fill out her bucket list, or maybe something leading up to that so the scene doesn’t just feel thrown in out of nowhere. I haven’t watched any episodes besides episode one, so maybe I’ll continue the series and see what i think. So far it seems like a fun show! :)
My personal biggest issue with H.O.I, is that it uses too many things as a joke. For instance, the Taco challenge you mentioned, or the crab episode as a whole. And I am all for LGBTQ+ representation, but the decision to make Becker attracted to Hailey got me confused. However, I think HOI will get more plot driven since episode 11, which is what is keeping me into the show. I WILL SAY THOUGH. The music in HOI is pretty incredible🤩
I know what you mean about the whole Becker liking Hailey thing. That clip caught me so off guard, and the lgbtq+ representation actually felt kinda...forced? Idk, it just felt a bit odd to see. I didn't see any chemistry between them either, and then at the end of that one episode, she was just like "One day I'm gonna kiss Hailey Banks." I was like "Wait- HUH? Where did that come from?" But maybe that's just me.
A couple things that bugged me: Episode 1 was just waaaayyy too heavy-handed with the “kissing Scott” thing. It was just really uncomfortable to watch tbh, and that seems like it’s gonna end up being one of the central internal conflicts, especially cuz Scott isn’t single anymore. But also, that relationship with Kristine was super rushed. We don’t know what she likes about him, and my other and biggest complaint-we don’t exactly know what it is that HAILEY likes about him. Getting invested in that relationship feels very weird when things feel so platonic between them, especially at times where Hailey’s rolling her eyes at Scott being an idiot. She’s not even laughing along, she just seems somewhat annoyed? It’s a weird vibe for smth that’s trying really hard to be shipping bait. I also dislike the art style and animation, tho I won’t be too critical of that cuz animation is hard and it’s a REALLY tough time in that industry rn. The art style is my main complaint. It really feels like an adult animated comedy art style with how static and generally uninteresting some of the characters look. I quite like Hailey’s design, but I don’t care as much for most others. The bear phone is kind of annoying. Stereotypical “angry little guy but what if he was a marketable plushie?😱😱” I just don’t care for the trope, personally, though I know for the kids watching it will likely be novel to them so they’ll probably find it entertaining. The realism thing is a good point too. It’s kinda difficult to properly gauge stakes for the episodes when the show is very flippant with its realism so much of the time. I could go on, but ultimately, I just recognize I’m clearly not the target demographic for this, and that’s okay! I’m glad I at least gave it a shot, and I hope that a lot of kids end up enjoying it, especially kids who are poc, cuz they may get to see characters like them on the screen, which is always incredibly important. I hope the representation does the kiddos some good.

7:30 Scott’s not that painfully dumb. There are some moments that show that Scott is smart, has some intelligence, and has some common sense. Just keep watching the show to find out which episodes show that side of Scott.
ive had the theory that the professor is the villain since the first episode basically, mostly cuz i think it'd be interesting if she was lying about the climate change thing and completing the list turned out to be a bad thing, but also in the most recent episode on disney plus they made a point of showing that the chaos bots are powered by a power source with hailey's logo on it, and the professor tells hailey that its bc hailey's tech powers everything but then if it gets resolved so quickly why would they make a point of showing it? suspicious! i think maybe it's a future version of hailey trying to stop herself from completing the list. also the professor seemed weirdly cool with the robot bear guy basically dying and tried to convince hailey to take a replacement robot thing which is also suspicious cuz maybe since hes starting to care abt hailey it could cause problems for the professor. ik its a stretch but i like my theory ok
Could make sense, seeing as the list is making her aliened people rather than connect with? Fish taco episode had her ruined the competition as she sort of won unfairly (not by her choice though), her western episode had her ruin the fun for everyone who wanted to be a sheriff and not to mention her sand building war destroyed everyone else’s sand castle. Not to mention, the burger road trip nearly split up Scott and hat girl. It could be that the list is actually making her come across as worse to others rather than endearing enough to become a success in the future.
I kinda want The Professor to turn out to be the villain. I'd actually really like that. I mean she already seems pretty chill and cool, imagine how cool she'd be as a villain. I think it'd be a pretty great twist. Also, the only full episode I've watched is the first one, I haven't found a place where I can watch all the episodes yet, but I've been keeping up with them through youtube by watching multiple clips of every episode so I get the premise of it. And oh my god, I can't believe Hailey literally had the chance to kiss Scott in the palm of her hand, but refused. HAILEY. WHY?! I mean, I know *why,* you want your kiss with Scott to mean something, but you gotta kiss him soon. The fate of the world lies in your hands But you know what would also be interesting? The show is really just meh so far. I'm not invested in the romance, the plot feels stakeless, and the animation is just really not doing it for me. However I do like Hailey as a protagonist and characters like Kristine and Becker, and I'm enjoying theorizing about who is sending the chaos bots (my money's on future Scott) so I'll stick with it for now.

At first, Hailey's was a DTVA's filler-series maybe that series was very naive at best. But later on (especially episode 11 and later) it was plot-driven. Also, my reaction about that was kinda confused at first (or maybe fewer episode, if I've missing the point) but that's was fun for later on and the music was SLAP, Hailey's later episodes kick some butt of my boredom college phase as right now.

I enjoy this show as a breath of fresh air from all the other disney cartoons, its not trying to be something big, its just telling a story and i can respect that, in U.F-Woah (if im correct) i got some theory material and now im questioning whats gonna happen next. Overall im in it to finish it and ill gladly watch it while waiting for ninjago part 2 too come out, or more TGAMM.
I think it will be like toh and amphibia and GF and WOY where the first season is almost entirely filler and has sprinkles of lore, while the rest will be a slow burn.

The episodes gradually get better as they go on and give more depth to characters like Kirstine, but I understand what you mean about Scott being too dumb for his own good. Personally, I can tolerate this show and it has me laugh every now and again. I definitely agree with this show being its own thing. The one thing I do have a problem with is that a lot of people compared it to The Owl House and Gravity Falls right off the bat, causing them to be sorely disappointed. I thought it was pretty clear that DTVA was moving in a different direction, and it's really not fair to base the company off those two shows anymore. If anything, Hailey's On It feels more like Phineas & Ferb or Milo Murphy's Law with a formula that repeats every episode, but then it throws in a couple extra plot points, like in U-F-Whoa, where Beta and Hailey's relationship (which is hardly even touched prior to this) grows in a great way. All I'm asking people to do is walk into this show with an open mind, and remember that *this is made for kids.* It's not going to be some plot-heavy, dark & edgy show like The Owl House (and it's really only like that for a portion of the 2nd season, anyway). DTVA is NOT made up of those three shows that get mentioned every so often, and therefore, those three shows really shouldn't be used to determine how good something else is. (I really ran off track as there was another point I was trying to prove.)
I mean Owl House and Gravity Falls weren't the only story driven Disney shows. There's also Amphibia, DuckTales 2017, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, Penn Zero, and Big Hero 6 The Series. Even now among the currently running shows, Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur is story driven so it's not like DTVA is totally not story driven anymore. Wouldn't say Phineas & Ferb is like Hailey's On It, that show didn't have any long term story arc and was primarily standalone and episodic.
@@aertnadle2466 I know but when it comes to story driven shows, The Owl House and Gravity Falls are praised as the "Golden Standard" of Disney TVA, which simply isn't the case. And then the only reason I compared Hailey's On It to Phineas & Ferb was the similarity in genre, and for the times Hailey is episodic, it holds a similar formula as Phineas & Ferb.
Just because it's made for kids dosen't mean the writing cannot be plot heavy, that;s kind of a dumb excuse. I would prefer something that's semi episodic.
I honestly really like the show, however, I do see all of your criticisms looking back on it(I personally think Scott is really funny though). I like it, but not on the same level as other disney cartoons. The episodes animated by rough draft are so much better than the other one that I’m blanking on. The rough draft ones are frame by frame I also can’t tell for the other company as thoose are frame by frame to. I checked lol. I just don’t know why it’s so stiff then.
You mean Saernom Animation? That’s the second animation studio besides Rough Draft Korea. Both of those two animation studios worked on Amphibia too, if you didn’t know.
I am watching it, rn on episode 22. Mostly this show is just filler episodes where they just do stuff (like the second episode with taco competotion). But then closer to episode 20 they started showing more stuff related to the plot with the future and chaos bots. Episode 20 is a double length episode with more plot important stuff happening! After this episodes kept going taco. I'm interested, but i don't expect something big.
Im i think its weird for me to say that probably the shows best approches is 1 build up to its finally, showing us that all the episodes and troubles were all meant for this finally to happen which is basically just sprinkle a healthy enough of plot into every 3 episodes of the season until it disenvolves into the finally. Personally i think the other approach would be deconstructing the character like owl house did with luz maybe Haily fails, and goes into the future into the next season and we can see the cause and effect of her errors IF SHE FAILS TO SAVE THE WORLD. Eventually probably saving it with some time travel shannanigansss probably DISNEY STYLES.
Beta is my favorite character in the show and I wish he could interact with other people besides Hailey and Scott (trust me he gets better as time goes on)
It would be interesting if future Scott was the one sending the robots and the villain. Maybe while the bucket list helps Hailey, it unintentionally ruins Scott’s life.
Honestly, Scott is the worst character. Not that he does anything horrible, he's definitely most annoying, but he's not a standout in a cast that also is only a one-bit joke. No, it's because how am I suppose to believe ANYONE would fall for this generic dumb guy, let alone two people. If the entire premise is "I need to kiss my best friend but am struggling to do so", you REALLY need to sell the bond between the best friend and the main character, and why she would like him so much. But every time he's on screen I just go "Really?? That's the one you're picking?? Okay." That can change, and I hope it does, there ARE glimmer's of hope, like I actually really liked him in Kristine's quincenera, the dumb traits mixed with the loyal and supportive traits in a really fun, funny, sweet way. Hopefully they keep going with that.
I've only seen a small bit, but for me I think maybe the list items aren.t supposed to be earned. They might just be excuses to put the characters in weird places to make jokes. It only sometimes felt like the list items were the ultimate goal. It's like phineas and ferb, but that show is safer because the premise is "do something everyday" and not "finish this list". I think my problem I's a lack of some kind of bplot or other interesting element. Phineas and ferb would not be as fun without the boys/ candace and perry/doof bouncing back and forth. JAJAJA 🤣🤣when you say that Scott is painfully dumb! Personally I really love the show it is so cute and I love the plotline, the magical elements, and the cute TABLET teddy bear robot. But I agree that the animation style could be so much cuter, or a bit better like in the Owl House, this show is not as amazing as the Owl House, but I do love it's diversity, and they include a lgbtq relationship later in the show, and it's always heartwarming and wholesome to see positive LGBTQ representation especially on Disney it is hopeful progress to me.
At first I didn’t really like it, mainly because the art style just looked like animated bitmojis and the acting was kind of bad, but it’s actually grown on me after episode 6, so I’m pretty excited to see what happens. I guess the problem with Haily is that her personality is somewhat copied after previes Disney TVA female protagonist. Mabel, Webby, Luz, Marcy and Star. You can feel a piece of a personality trait from each girl within her.
my main problem with the show is the haileys on it jingle you see it before the show plays on disney channel thankfully i watch streaming but that jingle it was clever the first time but once you hear it the third time it is just annoying and then torture

This show had one of the weirdest soundtrack release for any Disney TVA show. Some songs are edited to be extended like the main theme, but other songs are literally ripped straight from the show just with no SFX. Like "You Fit Me Perfectly" literally still has Hailey talking to herself.
"Who would be against stopping climate change?" Well, we have real-life examples in corporations and politicians all over the place, so... But it seems like revealing the end result of completing the bucket list is just common sense that's rare to see used in a show like this. Normally you would expect them to keep the end goal a secret for suspense, which is great for the audience but makes no sense in-universe. Imagine being told you have to do something you don't want to do or else the world will end, and you ask how those things could possibly be related, and get the answer "Oh, I can't tell you THAT." But also I think it's telling that since we have the end goal laid out for us, that means it is probably going to change. There will be a twist where it turns out the real goal isn't actually "have this girl complete her bucket list to stop climate change." Or, it could be a very low-stakes show where the whole point is the journey so it doesn't really matter if we already know the destination. IDK. I haven't watched it yet.

I feel like this show gets too much hate. The animation is nice, the humor can be great and the songs are really catchy too. And I know it’ll get a whole lot better once we start reaching the finale.
To me it is kind of bad, but not bad enough to change it. It is basically a "filler" show. I think she actually started the robot apocalypse. And the lady that is from the future decided to have her complete the list to change her in the past to save the future.
I personally don’t hate it but don’t like it because even if it’s not a pretty serialized show like toh, amphibia, gravity falls, moon girl (I’ve only ever watched the first 2 episodes when it came out and the hair episode so idk) and ducktales 2017 it still doesn’t hold up to tgamm,big city greens, and even Kiff after like 7 episodes when it comes to everything that makes a show watchable without being bored of watching it and like the other 3 shows I mentioned earlier it’s not very serialized but without that tgamm, big city greens, are still funny and entertaining to watch because their characters and the characters development besides Kiff so far gets better and better every 10 episode segments, but even after 5 episodes (not segments) have gone by Scott is still completely oblivious to his surroundings and the shows fandom clearly shows that because he isn’t a “protect this lil boi/gurl at all cost character like hunter from toh and Marcy from amphibia and whoever wrote Scott’s character probably has never had any dtva cartoon writting experience before I mean even going as far back as fish hooks milo got more development than Scott will ever have and well for humor in Hailey’s on it… they make a gross out joke IN THE INTRO and say it with me folks “gross out humor is only used when in need of help when writing an episode of a more than a 4 season show or for baby shows because even toddler shows like super why and paw patrol know better, and one more things shows for an original target demographic of 5 to 7 year olds like bluey and lion guard shall never in the history of man kind be called baby shows.
to add one more comment, that isn’t about the story. the animation as a whole, just isn’t..great. like as someone who wants to make there own cartoon show one day. the direction of this isn’t appealing, and to have a generic story on top of a generic art style. Doesn’t go well. No offense to the artist because I’m sure they work hard at it.

The art style isn't my favorite, the themesong is dog water, and they don't use the fantastical elements enough. But! It's a fun watch. It gets better! The characters, I love them, sorry hahah i could elaborate but i dont want to make this too long (plushie man is dumb tho). Hawaiian rep too! And the episodes themselves aren't at all cliche. They go in weird fun ways and have cool premises. It's definitely a fun casual watch. It's just *fun*. Go watch it! Support original content!!
It definitely reminds be of S.V.T.F.O.E [Star vs the forces of evil] with the main character having a crush on her best friend but losing that chance but some episode's are definitely better then others, some are just very boring, I do like "Smells like queen spirt" that wss good but others i dont like it.

Couple things 1: the characters looked too human 2: it feels like it’s trying to continue the Disney channel story focused shows but they don’t really have complex/likeable characters and 3: they introduced the problem and solution too early
To me, Scott is really funny because he’s so dumb. After all the show didn’t start that long ago and maybe he could get more character development? I enjoy a good laugh and Scott is my perfect go-to for that. I could totally see Ed and Scott hanging out with each other!

Hailey is a mean spirited character, that’s a character trait. She’s kind of a jerk and that add complexity to her character.
I think that one of my issues with Hailey’s on it is that in the first episode, the plot was just thrown in your face within the first couple of minutes of the show, and I kinda wish that there was more time before Hailey found out about having to fill out her bucket list, or maybe something leading up to that so the scene doesn’t just feel thrown in out of nowhere. I haven’t watched any episodes besides episode one, so maybe I’ll continue the series and see what i think. So far it seems like a fun show! :)

My personal biggest issue with H.O.I, is that it uses too many things as a joke. For instance, the Taco challenge you mentioned, or the crab episode as a whole. And I am all for LGBTQ+ representation, but the decision to make Becker attracted to Hailey got me confused.
However, I think HOI will get more plot driven since episode 11, which is what is keeping me into the show.

I know what you mean about the whole Becker liking Hailey thing. That clip caught me so off guard, and the lgbtq+ representation actually felt kinda...forced? Idk, it just felt a bit odd to see. I didn't see any chemistry between them either, and then at the end of that one episode, she was just like "One day I'm gonna kiss Hailey Banks." I was like "Wait- HUH? Where did that come from?" But maybe that's just me.

A couple things that bugged me:
Episode 1 was just waaaayyy too heavy-handed with the “kissing Scott” thing. It was just really uncomfortable to watch tbh, and that seems like it’s gonna end up being one of the central internal conflicts, especially cuz Scott isn’t single anymore. But also, that relationship with Kristine was super rushed. We don’t know what she likes about him, and my other and biggest complaint-we don’t exactly know what it is that HAILEY likes about him.
Getting invested in that relationship feels very weird when things feel so platonic between them, especially at times where Hailey’s rolling her eyes at Scott being an idiot. She’s not even laughing along, she just seems somewhat annoyed? It’s a weird vibe for smth that’s trying really hard to be shipping bait.
I also dislike the art style and animation, tho I won’t be too critical of that cuz animation is hard and it’s a REALLY tough time in that industry rn. The art style is my main complaint. It really feels like an adult animated comedy art style with how static and generally uninteresting some of the characters look. I quite like Hailey’s design, but I don’t care as much for most others.
The bear phone is kind of annoying. Stereotypical “angry little guy but what if he was a marketable plushie?😱😱” I just don’t care for the trope, personally, though I know for the kids watching it will likely be novel to them so they’ll probably find it entertaining.
The realism thing is a good point too. It’s kinda difficult to properly gauge stakes for the episodes when the show is very flippant with its realism so much of the time.
I could go on, but ultimately, I just recognize I’m clearly not the target demographic for this, and that’s okay! I’m glad I at least gave it a shot, and I hope that a lot of kids end up enjoying it, especially kids who are poc, cuz they may get to see characters like them on the screen, which is always incredibly important. I hope the representation does the kiddos some good.

7:30 Scott’s not that painfully dumb. There are some moments that show that Scott is smart, has some intelligence, and has some common sense. Just keep watching the show to find out which episodes show that side of Scott.
ive had the theory that the professor is the villain since the first episode basically, mostly cuz i think it'd be interesting if she was lying about the climate change thing and completing the list turned out to be a bad thing, but also in the most recent episode on disney plus they made a point of showing that the chaos bots are powered by a power source with hailey's logo on it, and the professor tells hailey that its bc hailey's tech powers everything but then if it gets resolved so quickly why would they make a point of showing it? suspicious! i think maybe it's a future version of hailey trying to stop herself from completing the list. also the professor seemed weirdly cool with the robot bear guy basically dying and tried to convince hailey to take a replacement robot thing which is also suspicious cuz maybe since hes starting to care abt hailey it could cause problems for the professor. ik its a stretch but i like my theory ok
Could make sense, seeing as the list is making her aliened people rather than connect with? Fish taco episode had her ruined the competition as she sort of won unfairly (not by her choice though), her western episode had her ruin the fun for everyone who wanted to be a sheriff and not to mention her sand building war destroyed everyone else’s sand castle.
Not to mention, the burger road trip nearly split up Scott and hat girl. It could be that the list is actually making her come across as worse to others rather than endearing enough to become a success in the future.

I kinda want The Professor to turn out to be the villain. I'd actually really like that. I mean she already seems pretty chill and cool, imagine how cool she'd be as a villain. I think it'd be a pretty great twist. Also, the only full episode I've watched is the first one, I haven't found a place where I can watch all the episodes yet, but I've been keeping up with them through youtube by watching multiple clips of every episode so I get the premise of it. And oh my god, I can't believe Hailey literally had the chance to kiss Scott in the palm of her hand, but refused. HAILEY. WHY?! I mean, I know *why,* you want your kiss with Scott to mean something, but you gotta kiss him soon. The fate of the world lies in your hands

The show is really just meh so far. I'm not invested in the romance, the plot feels stakeless, and the animation is just really not doing it for me. However I do like Hailey as a protagonist and characters like Kristine and Becker, and I'm enjoying theorizing about who is sending the chaos bots (my money's on future Scott) so I'll stick with it for now.
I’ve actually never thought about it being future Scott! Honestly, that could give a bit to why Beta hates Scott so much. But then again, I’m not sure if Beta knows about the future that well. I really like that idea though. Like they act like Scott is really dense and then he’s actually the future villain? That would really work out.

At first, Hailey's was a DTVA's filler-series maybe that series was very naive at best. But later on (especially episode 11 and later) it was plot-driven. Also, my reaction about that was kinda confused at first (or maybe fewer episode, if I've missing the point) but that's was fun for later on and the music was SLAP, Hailey's later episodes kick some butt of my boredom college phase as right now.
The show is alright on my end, I mean it's cool that they wanna try this stuff and the plan for this is interesting. HOWEVER. The animation sometimes (imo) is unbearable at times but I get what they're trying to do. And bruh what villain trying to stop her from solving global warming? It's like if your trying to stop someone from solving the Rubix cube and if not solved the entire coconut economy will fall.
Anywho as I said it's alright and I do have more stuff to say but I'll save that.
I enjoy this show as a breath of fresh air from all the other disney cartoons, its not trying to be something big, its just telling a story and i can respect that, in U.F-Woah (if im correct) i got some theory material and now im questioning whats gonna happen next. Overall im in it to finish it and ill gladly watch it while waiting for ninjago part 2 too come out, or more TGAMM.

The episodes gradually get better as they go on and give more depth to characters like Kirstine, but I understand what you mean about Scott being too dumb for his own good. Personally, I can tolerate this show and it has me laugh every now and again.
I definitely agree with this show being its own thing. The one thing I do have a problem with is that a lot of people compared it to The Owl House and Gravity Falls right off the bat, causing them to be sorely disappointed. I thought it was pretty clear that DTVA was moving in a different direction, and it's really not fair to base the company off those two shows anymore.
If anything, Hailey's On It feels more like Phineas & Ferb or Milo Murphy's Law with a formula that repeats every episode, but then it throws in a couple extra plot points, like in U-F-Whoa, where Beta and Hailey's relationship (which is hardly even touched prior to this) grows in a great way.
All I'm asking people to do is walk into this show with an open mind, and remember that *this is made for kids.* It's not going to be some plot-heavy, dark & edgy show like The Owl House (and it's really only like that for a portion of the 2nd season, anyway). DTVA is NOT made up of those three shows that get mentioned every so often, and therefore, those three shows really shouldn't be used to determine how good something else is. (I really ran off track as there was another point I was trying to prove.)
I mean Owl House and Gravity Falls weren't the only story driven Disney shows. There's also Amphibia, DuckTales 2017, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, Penn Zero, and Big Hero 6 The Series.
Even now among the currently running shows, Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur is story driven so it's not like DTVA is totally not story driven anymore.
Wouldn't say Phineas & Ferb is like Hailey's On It, that show didn't have any long term story arc and was primarily standalone and episodic.

I honestly really like the show, however, I do see all of your criticisms looking back on it(I personally think Scott is really funny though). I like it, but not on the same level as other disney cartoons. It does feel like it gets a bit better as it goes on, but they also really drag on the Hailey kissing Scott thing, which is frustrating because they can do a lot of interesting things with the premise but they decided to choose that kiss to be the main driving force for conflict. I do find it really funny and creative and personally like the animation though.

I am watching it, rn on episode 22. Mostly this show is just filler episodes where they just do stuff (like the second episode with taco competotion). But then closer to episode 20 they started showing more stuff related to the plot with the future and chaos bots. Episode 20 is a double length episode with more plot important stuff happening! After this episodes kept going taco. I'm interested, but i don't expect something big.
Im i think its weird for me to say that probably the shows best approches is 1 build up to its finally, showing us that all the episodes and troubles were all meant for this finally to happen which is basically just sprinkle a healthy enough of plot into every 3 episodes of the season until it disenvolves into the finally. Personally i think the other approach would be deconstructing the character like owl house did with luz maybe Haily fails, and goes into the future into the next season and we can see the cause and effect of her errors IF SHE FAILS TO SAVE THE WORLD. Eventually probably saving it with some time travel shannanigansss probably DISNEY STYLES.

Honestly, Scott is the worst character. Not that he does anything horrible, he's definitely most annoying, but he's not a standout in a cast that also is only a one-bit joke. No, it's because how am I suppose to believe ANYONE would fall for this generic dumb guy, let alone two people. If the entire premise is "I need to kiss my best friend but am struggling to do so", you REALLY need to sell the bond between the best friend and the main character, and why she would like him so much. But every time he's on screen I just go "Really?? That's the one you're picking?? Okay." That can change, and I hope it does, there ARE glimmer's of hope, like I actually really liked him in Kristine's quincenera, the dumb traits mixed with the loyal and supportive traits in a really fun, funny, sweet way. Hopefully they keep going with that.
I've only seen a small bit, but for me I think maybe the list items aren.t supposed to be earned. They might just be excuses to put the characters in weird places to make jokes. It only sometimes felt like the list items were the ultimate goal.

I think my problem I's a lack of some kind of bplot or other interesting element. Phineas and ferb would not be as fun without the boys/ candace and perry/doof bouncing back and forth. JAJAJA 🤣🤣when you say that Scott is painfully dumb! Personally I really love the show it is so cute and I love the plotline, the magical elements, and the cute TABLET teddy bear robot. But I agree that the animation style could be so much cuter, or a bit better like in the Owl House, this show is not as amazing as the Owl House, but I do love it's diversity, and they include a lgbtq relationship later in the show, and it's always heartwarming and wholesome to see positive LGBTQ representation especially on Disney it is hopeful progress to me.
At first I didn’t really like it, mainly because the art style just looked like animated bitmojis and the acting was kind of bad, but it’s actually grown on me after episode 6, so I’m pretty excited to see what happens. Plus I’m a sucker for friends to lovers (unfortunately) so that’s also driving me 🥲

If I had a coin for each series what came out this summer on someone who wants to complete their bucket list I would have 2, which is not much, but it is strange that it happens 2 times this summer (I mean this series and Zoom 100, you should see Zoom 100)
This show had one of the weirdest soundtrack release for any Disney TVA show. Some songs are edited to be extended like the main theme, but other songs are literally ripped straight from the show just with no SFX. Like "You Fit Me Perfectly" literally still has Hailey talking to herself.
"Who would be against stopping climate change?" Well, we have real-life examples in corporations and politicians all over the place, so...
But it seems like revealing the end result of completing the bucket list is just common sense that's rare to see used in a show like this. Normally you would expect them to keep the end goal a secret for suspense, which is great for the audience but makes no sense in-universe. Imagine being told you have to do something you don't want to do or else the world will end, and you ask how those things could possibly be related, and get the answer "Oh, I can't tell you THAT." But also I think it's telling that since we have the end goal laid out for us, that means it is probably going to change. There will be a twist where it turns out the real goal isn't actually "have this girl complete her bucket list to stop climate change." Or, it could be a very low-stakes show where the whole point is the journey so it doesn't really matter if we already know the destination. IDK. I haven't watched it yet.

I personally don’t hate it but don’t like it because even if it’s not a pretty serialized show like toh, amphibia, gravity falls, moon girl (I’ve only ever watched the first 2 episodes when it came out and the hair episode so idk) and ducktales 2017 it still doesn’t hold up to tgamm,big city greens, and even Kiff after like 7 episodes when it comes to everything that makes a show watchable without being bored of watching it and like the other 3 shows I mentioned earlier it’s not very serialized but without that tgamm, big city greens, are still funny and entertaining to watch because their characters and the characters development besides Kiff so far gets better and better every 10 episode segments, but even after 5 episodes (not segments) have gone by Scott is still completely oblivious to his surroundings and the shows fandom clearly shows that because he isn’t a “protect this lil boi/gurl at all cost character like hunter from toh and Marcy from amphibia and whoever wrote Scott’s character probably has never had any dtva cartoon writting experience before I mean even going as far back as fish hooks milo got more development than Scott will ever have and well for humor in Hailey’s on it… they make a gross out joke IN THE INTRO and say it with me folks “gross out humor is only used when in need of help when writing an episode of a more than a 4 season show or for baby shows because even toddler shows like super why and paw patrol know better, and one more things shows for an original target demographic of 5 to 7 year olds like bluey and lion guard shall never in the history of man kind be called baby shows.
to add one more comment, that isn’t about the story. the animation as a whole, just isn’t..great. like as someone who wants to make there own cartoon show one day. the direction of this isn’t appealing, and to have a generic story on top of a generic art style. Doesn’t go well.

So I've also watched this show. Mostly to support original Disney works. But it's OKAY imo. The art style isn't my favorite, the themesong is dog water, and they don't use the fantastical elements enough. But! It's a fun watch. It gets better! The characters, I love them, sorry hahah i could elaborate but i dont want to make this too long (plushie man is dumb tho). Hawaiian rep too! And the episodes themselves aren't at all cliche. They go in weird fun ways and have cool premises. It's definitely a fun casual watch. It's just *fun*. Go watch it! Support original content!!

I watched the first episode of Hailey's on it cause it sounded kinda cool with Hailey has to save the world, but then it was reveal that Hailey has to save the world from climate change...😂
So look, if they told us what Hailey’s gonna do.. it’s not gonna happen. Something else is gonna happen and there’s gonna be villain introduced. Because the way time travel works in this universe, is you can change the course of history wherever you are… THAT’S STUPID. it’s not logical at all. The way time travel should work in every universe is that whatever happens in the past, happens in the future. Things are destined to happen and nothing can change that. It’s hard to explain right now cuz I’m tired. ANYWAY if this show actually introduces a better plot, I’ll watch it 👍👍

Is it me or the breakup that Scott had was Kinda forced for the plot of the story?
I think that it was inevitable, scot was lying constantly, if it were in reality it would have happened quicker if not at the same time.
I feel like the reason all the plot points in that relationship work is that Scott and Kristine are both 14 and stupid. I don’t even think they liked each other that much to begin with.
then it turns out that the professor is actually evil and needs Hayley to fulfill her list since one of the things to do on that list allows the professor to get her plan almost complete
But since she doesn't know what it is, she tells Hayley to complete everything on the list.
if Hayley and Scott have "new experiences" it will be the same as when Bear-y Nice and HotdogPerson had "new experiences"
(one of them (Scott)will always end up hurt)
God literally made them break up for character development
Couple things 1: the characters looked too human 2: it feels like it’s trying to continue the Disney channel story focused shows but they don’t really have complex/likeable characters and 3: they introduced the problem and solution too early
Too human? The only creatures who draw and consume animation are literally humans 😂

To me, Scott is really funny because he’s so dumb. After all the show didn’t start that long ago and maybe he could get more character development? I enjoy a good laugh and Scott is my perfect go-to for that. I could totally see Ed and Scott hanging out with each other!
