The third commandment is very misunderstood. Taking Jehovah's name in vain has nothing to do with the pronunciation of his name. Jehovah himself mentions his name twice within the third commandment. Taking his name in vain has to do with doing evil in Jehovah's name. For example, it is one thing if you are ripped off by a dishonest person. I have read many books and texts about the name Yahweh and they all say the same thing. Yahweh means "the shining ones", it is not the true name of God. I have read many books and texts about the name Yahweh and they all say the same thing. Yahweh means "the shining ones", it is not the true name of God. In fact if you look through the new Bibles the Old Testament where you would once find El, Elohim and Yahweh they have all been replaced by "God". I'd like to know who has given those who make copies of the Bible permission to changed so much in the Book that is so Holy and gives mankind all he needs to know about our lives and who created us and why?
