  • Cala Gonone is a picturesque resort on the east coast of Sardinia, located on the Gulf of Orosei. The area is known for its stunning beaches and crystal clear waters. Cala Gonone is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding beaches and bays. The drive there is an experience in itself as it passes through a tunnel and a winding panoramic road that offers magnificent views of the coast and sea.
Cala Gonone was once a sleepy fishing village, but has now developed into a lively tourist resort with numerous hotels and holiday apartments. There is a wide range of leisure activities on offer in Cala Gonone: whether swimming, diving or snorkeling - everything you need for a beach holiday is offered here¹. Numerous restaurants await hungry guests on the promenade.
Another highlight in Cala Gonone is the Grotta del Bue Marino, a stalactite cave that can be visited. The cave is named after the Mediterranean monk seal, which was once native to the area. However, today the seal is threatened with extinction.
Cala Gonone is also known for the annual jazz festival that takes place in summer. Here you can experience jazz in a stalactite cave.
Cala Gonone harbor is a small marina on the east coast of Sardinia, Italy. It offers 200 berths for boats up to 15 meters long. Boaters here can access basic services such as water and electricity at their moorings. There are also bars and restaurants in the harbor area. If you need to carry out maintenance or minor repairs, this port has crane service and a small boat ramp and garage. As mooring space is limited, advance reservations are recommended before visiting the port.
