All four of her projects are insane. There’s some notable collabs from her younger days on top of the two key albums grey area and SIMBI. Dead body 1,2&3 ft Kano & stormzy King of hearts ft chip & ghetts
Album review please. Also it's Cleo Sol on the hook. Also the the entire album was produced by Inflo who is one of the best producers I've come across in recent times.
hope you react to her tiny desk concert ,listening to her live is another different experience and her band and backing singers are amazing ,great reaction keep up the good work
I had this on repeat when it came out lol. Some of my favourite tracks are on this album, but I probably play Grey Area back to back more often. I also regularly listen to tracks off her older stuff ♥️
You speak about the beat choice early in the video. Fun fact - the first 2 tracks of the album Introvert and Woman both have 0 samples in them. They’re both really long songs with multiple beat switches and it’s all produced from scratch. She’s a real artist bro. Best live rap show I have ever seen too, and I’ve seen a lot of rap shows
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, do an album review for Grey Area before S.I.M.B.I… it’s a perfect 10 track album and a great introduction to her, and it’s chronologically correct 😅 Comparisons with Kano are deserved- Simz is an artist through and through like Kano, the two know each other well, have worked together musically and obvs in Top Boy (which he recommended her to the producers for). He is a fan of what she does 🔥 There is an interview (now on UA-cam) from a few years back of Kano interviewing Simz. This is def pre Grey Area so she hadn’t fully blown up yet. I think this was from the era where they were both MCing for the Gorillaz, on tour etc. Worth watching for more bkgd (not necessarily a reaction). A Kendrick / Simz collaboration could happen! There is a UK interview (now on UA-cam) from a few years back where Mr Jam is interviewing Kendrick, who says Little Simz ‘might be the illest doing it right now’. He is clearly a fan, and Simz has namechecked Kendrick in records before… I can see a collab becoming reality if the circumstances are right.
These songs are amazing on their own but it sounds so much better when you let the album run. She's just done a great live set in Glastonbury thats on bbc music if you want some live little simz

Its contemporary dance with some Crump influence which you will see from time to time in other routines but definitely drawn from the American dance culture for sure 👌🏽
😂😂 I laugh because I never thought krump would go global. When we were in the park in north Hollywood doing these as kids it was just an outlet so to see it mixed with contemporary dance is crazy. Never thought it would go so far
@@Jurnalist_ Yh I know what you mean but it definitely has reached places... Ecspecially with shows like Britians Got Talent/Americas Got Talent/ Got To Dance and other Platforms that showcase Performing Arts, through out the years you can see where influence and inspiration has been drawn from and American Dance/Hip Hop Culture is a massive one naturally 💯
@@frankiestaywoke1038 that’s really DOPE. Performance art is like a dying culture in America. Sad to say. It’s really nice to see that the influence dance wise is still going. No, it’s Cleo Sol according to the album credits. But even without the singing voice, I would STILL say she is the UK Lauryn. She has the same gravitas and command of the audience in her tone and cadence, and puts together epic albums… to me Grey Area is every bit as good an album as MisEducation… 🔥🔥🔥
This is nice. She's a strong and confident human. The heavy production definitely gives it more edge. On another note: When you talk about the UK hip-hop greats, I think you should get some education of the early noughties golden era. Those artists were releasing music before streaming and youtube, so they missed the hype train a bit. However, any self respecting British MC knows that what came before is heavy. The likes of Roots Manuva, Rodney P, Jehst, Dubbledge, Verb T, Doc Brown, Tommy Evans, Chester P and Farmer G (Taskforce), Kleshnekoff, Sway Desafo, Blak Twang, Yungun (now known as Essa), Foreign Baggars etc etc etc. You don't have to react to it, but sit down and listen to Jehst's Return of the Drifter or Falling Down album. Check out The Sagas of Klashnekoff or Roots Manuva's Run Come Save Me. In many ways, the quality of some of these artists is yet to be matched (in my opinion).
@@alys7027 it’s because the Zionist christian movement is in league with Israel. Our Christian Right aligns itself with Israel so to discuss Palestine in America in any other terms would be contrary to the narrative they feed us.

Little simz is a sick artist🔥💯... But Broski you need to react to the cammy riddim by all the grime scene right now. Especially durrty goodz(best one imo) , trim, manga version. Bro there is bare versions of the cammy riddim, too many mc's to mention. Bare content for grime files my g 🔥🔥🔥
Palestinians are effectively living in apartheid. certain streets they can walk on, different laws and regulations for palestinians compared to israelis. And the chorus is Cleo Sol iirc.
Her tiny desk concert is also well worth checking out.
I 2nd that, it's amazing 👏
@@garethpuckering1673 I third that 💯
yeah the second tiny desk tho, i guess watch the first afterwards if you wanna see how far she's come in terms of live performance

She's definitely a top artist. Her flow on "venom" is just ridiculous
Little Simz - King of hearts (Feat Chip & Ghetts)....chip kills it
Check out her 2 Colors vids:
