This was uploaded less than 6 months ago. We'll see how it goes :) In the search bar, by typing the term Norah Jones Sinkin Soon, this is now already too the second hit (after the official video clip, of course).
3:01 Fully deserved the extra applause, J. Walter Hawkes here stole the show a little from Norah. By the way, I think this is by far the best live version of the Sinkin 'Soon, simply because here Norah invited to join a trombone artist too. Of course the other guitar, piano and organ versions are neither bad, but this song is after all with trombone the "real". Because this way will be full the crazy factor.
that trombone.. this man is a walking talent!!! when i first listened to this song, i couldn’t make out whether it’s a trombone or a pitched voice, because it sounds so much like human crying and laughing. what an outstanding performance!
Wonderful, this Lady is an authentic Artist, she doesn't need to be vulgar, she doesn't need to show her body, and dance like a Sick Snake to show that she has really a Great talent. hats Out with all RESPECT to Ladies like Norah Jones AN Authentic and Talented Singer... Mr Walter hawkes did a really Great Work with the Trombone (Excuse My English, is not so Good as I Wish)
My God, she is so talented and beautiful. This song reminds me of what Tom Waits would do, both have the voices for it, however I can understand her a little better
She benefits from great backing musicians. Saw her once without them. Just her and three others. She was short a guitarist, IMHO.. This trombone would have been nice as well.
One of the most memorable performances I’ve ever seen by the trombone player. Norah is wonderful too. What a great arrangement!
That majestic trombone. This video deserves way more views than it has. Amazing recording.

My niece, shes 5 yrs old, & loves this version...she asks if I can play the live one of her favorite song...
Just a little though. The bits from Norah at 1:32 and specially at 3:16 are majestic, brilliant singing. But yes, Hawkes is amazing as well.

👍👍👍
🤩🤩🤩
Needs louder banjo and a short snappy guitar solo a la Tom waits. Not crazy about trombone playing.
