To be honest while the new one looks better than the prototype the prototype looks more like it’s Lego. I’m not sure why but I THINK it’s because it’s more simplistic.
How would it be if you used the 1x2 that has a groove on one side (It's used in older starwars AT-TE for the driver seat removal) for the sliding function?
