Well done ! Really empressive achievement to ride so many kilometers and highmeters and climbing at this heat! It was a really nice Video and a beautiful scenery with an incadible landscape. I did a trip with a car a long this road, but of course there is more beatiful area to discover and better views to see, with a bike than a car. I will go for a bikepacking trip along Europe too and also hopfully this section. I wanted to ask you, if you have GPS dates from this tripp or maybe even open link at the komoot app. And also wich drone do you have?
Thanks! I used the gpx from the EDT official website - but I wouldn't recommend that. As far as I know, there is a Facebook group where updated gpx files are available that avoid all the private land that the original track goes through. However, I never had a look on these files. I use a DJI Mini 3 that had serious gimbal issues while shooting this video. I now have a replacement and it works like a charm!
Brilliant video. What an incredible route and scenery. And what heart you have to tackle such a challenging and remote route on your own. Loved the soundtrack too.
Beautiful, thank you for sharing. I love the music and minimal vibe of the whole edit. I rode the full EDT north to south in summer of 2022. Spain, my home country, though really challenging, was my favourite part. Thanks again for bringing these memories back to me! 😊
a very interesting video, thank you for sharing your impressions here - your performance impresses me, not just the sheer number of kilometers - I wouldn't have driven some of the routes, I'm death-defying ))) I like that you let the pictures and music speak for themselves - the video leaves an atmospheric impression on me
Great job. It always looks cozy on the videos, but yes, the reality is different :-) It gives a nice glimpse of the route. But I miss the personal side. How you got on the tour, on the track, your equipment, etc...
Thanks for posting. It’s an amazing insight in to your trip. Thinking of riding the trail from Barcelona in early October, probably around 50kms a day. It looks quite beautiful and remote. Did you have any issues getting food and water? Roughly how far are the towns spaced apart? Many thanks and best wishes with your future adventures!
Thank you! Water is not a problem in Spain as there is a public water tap in every town. You should use an app that shows you the location (openstreetmap based apps offer this). Food shouldn't be a big problem either. As far as I remember, the maximum distance between grocery shops is about 150 km (a section near Teruel and the section from Albacete southwards).
Thanks very much for the video. I was thinking about doing some or all of this in 2024, but was intending to use a gravel bike. Much of what you filmed on the single track looked more mountain bike. Would you say the mountain bike would be more suitable? Thanks again for filming your adventure! Cheers, Tim
This is a MET helmet from the year 2000. I inherited from my grandfather. Not sure if a similiar model is still produced. I am not using that helmet anymore

Truly inspirational, music is cracking good too, thanks for taking me with you

Thanks for your feedback! Glad you like the atmosphere
awesome! greetings from Istanbul! appreciated
Epic & well done, a super adventure, thanks for taking me along🤙
Man, this is so freaking amazing. Epic ride. Directly subscribed.
Amazing scenery.
Hi, maybe watch the music levels a bit, but other than that a great video and some epic views. Thank you 👍🙂
awesome journey! greetings from Brazil
Danke für die Arbeit die Du Dir machst ! Tolles Video!
Vielen Dank:)
Awesome video and trail our friend just finished the EDT last month by herself loved every minute
Super Eindrücke...
mate, i don't know how, but your video got that Iohan's kind of vibe going. keep at it mate. i'm enjoying your vids.
Iohan has always been an inspiration to me... Love your comment!
That was my first thought too: "Is Iohan back?" See that as the biggest complement I can give you.
Because he says "hey buddy!" to animals :) We do that now to every doggy, horse, goat, etc we meet on rides. Iohan's Way.
What a great adventure! Only the dogs would scare the shit out of me 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, in some cases I was thinking about navigating around farms to avoid them, but that proved to be nearly impossible😅
Great video loving your editing! Be interested in you setup and what you are taking doesn't look much. Best from UK!
Szacunek podziwiam tyle kilometrów po takich drogach piękne widoki 🥰🏞🏕
Can you repost without the music so we can hear the commentary. Much more interested in what you say than the music. Looks like a great trip
Mit dem guten alten BSD Sweater 👏🏽👏🏽
Know your roots!😊
I love the soundtrack who is it?
The bike packing is inspiring!!
Thanks! Its "The Bones of J.R. Jones"
Geile Sache! 💯

Good job ! Don't miss this nice place for stay in Valence (France) spécial for cyclists le VELO GITE VALENCE. 20euros night !
it looks great but do something with the music, your comments can't be heard
Amazing landscapes, fantastico music. But the video needs this music like a fish needs a bicycle. In this edit it is annoying.
sau stark :)
Hi, brilliant videos!! What bike are you using?
Thanks! I used a bombtrack beyond adv+
What an amazing ride. Thank you for sharing.
What navigation app did you use?
Thanks! I used Osmand for this track
Great stuff, can't wait to get on the trail myself someday!! Question: how did you orientate yourself?
I navigate with my phone and a good App. In my opinion, this is much better than using a garmin or wahoo. But most will disagree with that I guess
Which app? I have done the portuguese part......just spent two or three more days than you did.....congrats for the vid!

nice trip! the only thing stopping me from doing the southern part are the dogs;) how did you deal with those?

Yes, I would recommend a mountain bike. You can do it on a gravel bike, but you will have more fun with a MTB
please write a model of your helmet. I've just started to watch and I like it so much
This is a MET helmet from the year 2000. I inherited from my grandfather. Not sure if a similiar model is still produced. I am not using that helmet anymore
What tire size did you ride eventually? Was it comfy enhough?
3". I would do it again with 3" or use a Suspension fork and about 2.3"
Tolle Route. Im Video wirkt es so, als wären etliche Abschnitte kaum fahrbar. Die Route soll ja zu 99.9% fahrbar sein?
Die 99.9 % sind zu optimistisch. Vielleicht 95 % der Zeit sitzt man im sattel
great video music much to loud i could not hear what you were saying.
Danke!
That should be Jaén no? Not Jean….
