This infernal rush really showcases celestials as the nomadic race. Well, I can't beat shrouds in my main, so I'll just pack and take my main somewhere else. Hope this or similar strat stays vaiable as the game develops cause it's just so unique.
Games 3 and 4 were so funny. I love me some low-eco knife-fights, some spread out economies and the creep camps enable a lot of that. Celestials looked more like WC3 Elf than SC2 Protoss for a bit. Also, it's always good to see Rushi in there doing some PvP commentating.
The kri and argents don’t feel or look like other celestial units. I feel like they could have been the vibe for a fourth race with the way they clash with the rest of the units. Floating geometry and clean looking tech with angels in power suits. Then you got these spikey four armed kri melee guys and the argent who is just a dude with a gun in his own power armor. They both die and spray this goo stuff like they are some kind of androids or something. Could have had some synthetic ai race on some holy crusade trying to become gods or whatever.
The lore of the celestials states that they're 50% bio and 50% mechanical - biomechanical hybrids and their robots that they use. In fact, production used to be split into mech units and bio units in the first playtest, but they moved things around into infantry and vehicles to make more sense
The clash is very intentional, both for visual clarity and for lore. It makes the Celestials less one-note. That's also the case for Terrans and Protoss, for example (with bio vs robots).
@@BeoMulf then it's shame Theory did not commit that 50+50 resources early on, I get that with celestial ability to remove debuffs it may seem useless, but given energy cost it would have to be at expanse of sovreginty watch etc...
@@daPawlak fair. He was so broke in those games that sparing the money for the ritual chamber and axes might have felt like too much. It was also 4 days into the new patch so you aren't always thinking of everything
I dont like the Celestial race. I like infernal as its very thematic , humans are kind of okey, but a bit boring, but Celestial is just forced and not fitting into the world.
I think they're missing lore. Could certainly work, but it's hard to connect to the idea when we know literally nothing about them as a society/faction etc

I was so happy he was able to join me! Was a very fun day
That third game looked like a lot of very frustrating fun for both players.
It was so good. So good!

Celestial units just have no cohesive identity IMO, I hope they'll make big concept-art level rework to them

@@BeoMulf bio mechanical, so it is white synthetic blood for the argents, interesting
was that post new patch? I feel like getting quick plague axes would matter a lot
Yep! This was played on Sunday
