I feel like the reason Seungmin feels very comfortable is that his general energy is often "I'm just happy to be here". Like he just wants to be there and hangout and that decreases pressure on having to create a certain atmosphere. I think it's one of his best traits.
Seungmin is so comfortable in his own skin , with his place in this world that people feel at ease around him naturally. Precious 💕 I love his mind so much. He is so smart on top of everything else. I wish they would do some more content in the future that could demonstrate his intelligence or thoughts process.

@@melaniereacts Yes , that's me . I'm sorry if I given you some burdens, but I just wanted to warn you. I don't have that good memory, so in order to do that I would need to rewatch some of their videos. Which I don't find myself comfortable doing. But I remember those comments clearly because how much it has upset me at the time.
I know it may be confusing because they praise BTS 99 percent of the time, act super positive and then giggle about something super weird.
So it's subtle to you until you watch 4-5 of their videos closely.
Okay, after thinking/looking I kinda remembered. They have moment talking about their political views on " Two Rock Fans REACT to BTS Moments for the History Books" starts 21:40 . It's not something major, but first thing I could find.

@@melaniereacts In Rise of Bangtan episode 13 . There's person in comments asking them why they still asking for donations to buy a computer. Because each time there is technical error with video they say it's because their computer is old and as two working adults they don't have time to edit it well . But after more than half a year of receiving donations they still haven't bought it .But they talk about moving countries, buying expensive tickets.
This episode was really fun and cute. Lee Know was giggling the whole time. Seungmin really makes the atmosphere fun and comfortable.
Perhaps in this episode we were able to look at the dynamics of the "cute dorm". Lee Know, Felix and Seungmin were very careful, even the jokes about Felix's playing skills were very friendly. Total comfort. Such good voices, such a beautiful song. Thanks for uploading this reaction! I enjoyed watching this episode with you once again.
I don't know Felix's full fluency level as seen from a native speaker's point of view, but as someone who also lives in a foreign country and has been learning the language for a long time, I can see a lot of similarities. He does seem to speak in a slower and careful manner than native speakers around him. And how he'll try to stick to korean even when someone throws in some english. Sometimes that can get confusing and throw your brain off.
To your question - the few people I have around me that speak some english do regularly try to translate certain words, slang, or expressions that they think I may not know, whether I actually understood or not. Especially those who have been with me along my language journey, they're used to my confused looks and will notice right away that I didn't understand something. Textbook vocab and grammar is one thing, but casual slang from various generations is a whole other thing!
One thing I love and am trying to learn from his example, is how well he pronounces english words in a korean accent so that everyone can understand him. That's actually quite hard to train your brain to know when to do that when you're a native english speaker (for me at least haha)
It seems to me, that usually when Felix is part of a smaller group, the dynamics are more comfortable. En masse, obviously the chaos can't be contained (these are very smart & witty wordsmiths) - but it looks like they are so intuitive about each other's safe boundaries that it is completely natural for them to act accordingly based on who is present/active in the conversational group.

I live in the Philippines and I HATE beer, I drink mostly brandy, whiskey and wine sometimes vodka and tequila, but most restaurants here serve only beer cause it's the Filipinos most preferred drink some do have a wide range of wine, brandy and tequilla. Also not all restaurants serve alcohol here. But if you want cocktails you'll have to go to Restobars and Pubs.
