According to Wikipedia, Western Star Trucks has a complicated history of ownership originating with American White Trucks in the 1960's. Various entities bought them out such as a couple of Australian chaps, Mercedes, and whatnot. Their office location has shifted from East Coast to Canada, to the West Coast of America, including Portland, Oregon. Too confusing for me, but the Australian dealers have an office in QLD. Sadly they aren't a West Australian manufactured truck, so there 😢. Some Jake Brakes sound effects would cheer me up a bit, it's darned cold here in Chiang Mai, with a temperature of 22°C, and this is supposed to be the steamy tropics Jeesh!
