  • Hiking for 12 days in the Himalayas to reach Mt Everest Base Camp is one of the most challenging and amazing things I have ever done. I absolutely love mountains. Leanne stayed at home but my friend Sean came along to take on this unbelievable adventure.
We booked the whole trip from Kathmandu including flights up in the mountain through our old friend Hari who runs the company Trekking Team. Find their website here: www.trekkingteam.com

I don't understand why people dislike a video/ trekking to EBC, being in this place is totally terrific.

Nice video, I went there in March 2020 and I’m desperate to go back. Thanks for loading this, really enjoyable to watch. 🙏

Why did you go both up and down via Tengpoche, when there is much better High Scenic Trail via Mong La and Phortse to Pangpoche, offering vastly more impressive views the day up and practically no trekkers? Also plenty of wild life including musk deer and Himalayan tahr. Many big name agencies like NatGeo and Adventure Consultants have already switched to the other better side.

The company I trekked with simply suggested this route but I like what you are saying. I might go trekking in Himalayas again and I will definitely check your suggestion out! Thanks!

@@ADifferentLife Nepalese agencies are not known for their innovation. For the future: There is another way to enhance normal EBC trek without adding days: replace one Dingpoche acclimatisation day with a visit to Ama Dablam BC and stay there in Mingbo pasture at Amadablam lodge. The altitude is the same as Dingboche so the acclimatisation stays the same. Thus: Namche - Phortse - ADBC - Dingpoche - Lobuche etc. Bit longer days, but on the way up there is plenty of time to do more.
