I didn't see any forced defence here. If someone sees a defence from Shirov in this game let me know. Which means that either u didn't see the game or u don't know chess.
I'm not saying white was in danger, I'm saying black was grouping forces against white's king, white didn't have an attack during the game, also Alexei spent more time double checking possible exchange sacs and things like that. At some point white parried all the threats, black became overextended and in a counterattack white won.
If I am not wrong, this is old Qa5 dragon var. The middle game is as expected in this car, though, as white, I like more g4_g5 approach than h4 that Shirov played. After the Nc4, Bxc4, I guess Shirov wouldn't allow any counter play to black and exchanged Q. It's typical kind of play in this var.
Sorry but white was never in danger. Yes, he was in time trouble but he kept it under control the whole game. So watch what u say because there are people here who understand chess.
@@Rapidchess Agreed, while white was not in danger, his initiative nearly ran out. Shirov had misplayed the opening but outsmarted his opponent the minute the queens came off. Black could have done better before the trade.
Because the bishop will go on g5 with check and the e-line will be open for the rook from d2. Two rooks and the bishop at the later game would be dramatic for black!

Shirov lleva blancas y no tiene problemas en ningún momento...gana fácil.
The title is ridiculous!

@@Rapidchess then wouldn't that just be prophylaxis? Stopping threats?
21:28 why black no eat knight white?. After eat knight white and then rock white eat g7 after that, kg3 x f5

There was no defence here. White had the upper hand all time. Maybe you wanted to put this titled in another game.
