I really like studying various forms of science and art. I feel like I will go into cs and finance , maybe open some company one day and sell it, invest in startups so that I can have financial freedom. Then I will buy my parents a big house. I will buy a nice house for myself in a quiet and spacious neighbourhood near a waterfall in a mountain. There I will sit near a fireplace in a medieval- European style room and self-study computers, electronics, astrophysics, maths, genetics, neuroscience, history, psychology…… anything I want, compose songs , fictional stories until I die. I will become like one of those Greek philosophers or Renaissance polymaths.Its dreamy but I will try.
I intend to pursue a career in the health area, because I like subjects like chemistry and biology, at the same time I like philosophy and creating stories for people (I'm an RPG master), so maybe my Ikigai is related to helping people , not only providing professional but also humanitarian support, creating entertainment for people, thank you for the video, it was of great help, I wish you all the success in the world

trying to get into a „verbundsstudium“ of wirtschaftsinformatik; i really like the idea of combinating these 2 cause math + economy and cs are my favorite subjects + sth with cs is imo always needed and pretty much one of the most future proof things

so verbundstudium means i get a bachelor in wirtschaftsinformatik and an apprenticeship as a fachinformatiker für anwendungsentwickling (-> double degree) what do u think of this

Sehr schönes Video! Finde besonders hier in Deutschland ist man, besonders wenn man jung ist, verwirrt was man machen soll.
Aber ja, besonders kommt der Druck von den Eltern, also einer anderen Generation.
Am Ende werden wir sehr viel experimentiert haben im Berufsleben und vor allem ein ewiger Schüler sein, was jeder sein sollte :)

I'm currently thinking about switching to Cognitive Science. For me, the combination of computer science (not passionate about it but I think it could be interesting) and psychology sounds interesting. Good to hear that you think that those majors which combine two fields is a good thing :)

Can I ask you what you want to do with computer science and design in the future? You said that physicists often go to finance or software engineering. Isn*t computer science kind of the same? You go into software engineering or IT in general after university
I really wanna go into UI/UX design and service design, so it goes more in the direction of psychology and digital design.
Knowing something about CS helps me to understand all the applications and the digital landscape better
Hi, Max! I wanted to say that I really like your videos, and I also have one question for you. I have now finished school in Israel, and I am already firmly convinced that in the future I want to work in cybersecurity. I know that there is a similar university of applied sciences in Berlin and my specialty is there. As a refugee from Ukraine, it won’t be difficult for me to get there, but I’m really worried that if after graduating from this university I decide to go to work in the UK or the USA, my diploma there will not be seriously valued compared to other universities. What do you recommend doing? Should I study in Berlin or look for other universities in Europe with my specialty (it is very rarely taught at the undergraduate level)?
I think in the end, especially when it comes to your field, the most important thing that matters is skill. Nowadays tech companies don't pay that much attention to the university you went to but your track record and abilities.
But would a prestigious university help? Definitely.

Did you Go to high school in Germany or abroad? Did you move to Germany for university or did you already live Here longer?😅 Also could you explain briefly How you can study two degrees in germany since we don’t have the major/minor System?
A detailed video about that is coming next week! With my degree, it is a bachelor of science and a hybrid model, so we learn about IT and Design at the same time
I am thinking of quitting from accounting branch in which i have a job right now (only few months in) for ui/ux designing i always loved programing i couldnt take it as degree where i am becuase of maths requirment in highschool. I always love psychology, love to give presentation and all 3 of things go well with ux designing. But i don't know if i will get visa for that.
I took the commerce degree becuase i thought i would grow to like it, and parent pressure and i complied because it also had programing as a minor course.
That sounds like a nice thing to do, I know many people who switch from completely different industries to UI/UX
Do you wanna go to university for that? There are also some really good online courses on the internet

Yes it has a lot of value in my eyes. I'm personally very interested in that as well.
The list with the 10 degrees is just a small snapshot, there are many more degrees that are also extremely valuable!

It might be quite difficult in the beginning. But if you're willing to improve your German along the way, it should be possible

I don't think that it's a waste of time if you really want it. I have people in my degree program who are 28 years old and they love university life :)
