Certain clans in Turkana and Karamoja are related. The problem is rustling among the unrelated clans. Tens of thousands of Turkana and karamoja have died in last 100 years. The Moroto barracks in eastern Uganda were created for the purpose of managing cross border skirmishes.Among Uganda Army leaders who have served in Karamoja include Brigadier opolot,Tito Okello,Idi Amin etc. Moroto barracks was the second battalion.
This is wonderful! Are you Karamojong? The Lodwar livestock market looks great. Very healthy livestock. It's interesting to see their unique style of nyamachoma, and the cereal prices are also fair. I am so glad to see that Lodwar is booming of local-indigenous industries.
You cannot compare Tanzanian hadzabe with the turkana people. In Kenya you can see they have electricity even though it's the furthest end of Kenya while hadzabe have never heard of markets or even farming
Let me subscribe to this channel now and like the video for one reason As a Jamaican I am fascinated by Africa beyond plus it's a beautiful African Empress doing this video. Yes Harriet is a pretty woman. I also visited Turkana last year as I am moving to Kenya this year. I love Turkana. Harriet go to the Turkana lake and do a video let people see African beauty. Last year I visited the chalbi tribe in the desert in Turkana and gave them food. Africa is so so beautiful and full of such history. Please don't stop doing these awesome content. So much memories. Look at the grains, all organic. Tired of the rotten food in the west.
Hi Jerry am happy to know that you enjoyed your stay in the Turkana on your visit, yes it’s a very beautiful place rich in culture thanks for the love and support hope you followed me on instagram as well thanks

@@Harrietthetraveller I don't normally go on Instagram, but I will go there and support you. Also, since you are in Turkana go to the Eliye springs and watch the sunset. Great content. Oh, my Lord Turkana is a hidden gem. Now here is a bombshell idea too since you love to travel. Journey from Turkana to the Masai Mara valley and while you are in the mountains going into the valley take some video looking over into the valley. You were pretty close to it when in Eldoret. Wow. It doesn't get better than that. I drove for thirteen hours when I did this just looking at Africa's beauty. You are in the right place as many expats are looking at Kenya so expose the country like you are doing. When i come to Africa again I will visit Uganda as it is just as equally beautiful. Mama Africa, I love it.
