I played DKs in the wotlk beta, and the fear for Death&Decay was baseline, it was just baked in to the spell. And they wouldnt even run around, they'd just stay put while being feared. It was so damn silly man
Nothing will ever be as OP as the "godmode" paladin. Ret paladin in the 2010 WotLK pre-patch at level 70 before they got nerfed. Everyone in BGs was running around in full brutal gladiator gear and ret palies could take on 2-3 of any other class and wipe the floor with them.
Happy to have played a Rogue during Vanilla and a DK during Wrath for sure. In MoP I played a Warrior, and Second Wind was crazy powerful, made you nearly immortal.
Back in the day (when you could freely mix talents/specs), I ran a Demonology and (iirc) Affliction mix. There was a talent not quite halfway up the Demonology tree which increased your demon's health and toughness by a percentage of your spellpower, and a similar talent on the Affliction tree which increased your spellpower by a percentage of your demon's toughness. I don't recall the exact percentages (something like 12% and 15%, iirc), but filling these two talents (and running a Voidwalker) created a feedback loop which nearly doubled your spellpower AND made your Voidwalker pretty much indestructible.
balance druid was more broken in prepatch for dragonflight because you could play revenous frenzy and also pick up convoke fron then new talent tree it was nuts, i remember in raids druid would casually do 40-50% of boss hp during burst in 30 sec
Demonology Swarm style came in Legion. In Legion they were doing something kinda neat, they were summoning Swarms of small demons that did extremely negligible damage but their primary play pattern centered around their Artifact weapon Thal'Kiel's consumption, an ability that sapped 10% of all your demon's current health then shot it at the enemy. This spec was tragically insanely clunky and underplayed because of a single ability, Demonic Empowerment, a short temporary Health and Damage buff for all your demons. In BFA they removed Thal'Kiel and introduced the current Demonic Tyrant and now Demonology Warlocks are the weakest part of their kit.
I remember playing my DK back in the day ,where there was a bug with Frost Spec where you were literally one shot even bosses and I remember doing Naxxramas solo on myself till I get banned for 3 weeks for exploiting
I am not surprised Warlock made it in the list with MoP. I was a destruction warlock at that time and I am not a really good player, average at best I would say, but I did more dps on bosses than my sim. :D
double frost DK in arena was so dumb, even after you kill them thru all this defensive CD's you had 2 ghouls to fight with gargoyles still shooting you
i think hunters were the most powerful during BC when they were the ONLY class with a legendary weapon...the one that created its own magic arrows making it so you never needed to buy them anymore, even though that's obviously the norm now, back then it was sooo good, .im amazed he didnt mention that
classic to cata so far, destro lock spells have keep basically the same and i still love them, immolate, conflagrate and incinerate. The "Omph" feedback of those spells feels so much better than affliction... ~~then again i played aff through wotlk~~
As i remember for the Frost DK in early LK, there was a funny spell from talents: Unbreakable Armor. It was a FLAT physical dmg reduction(around 2000) with 1 min CD for 20 sec duration, until the first major patch. With only this spell, you easily killed 2 rogues alone even if they were in full pvp gear, they had no chance to dmg you. :D
@@nickstarling3063 The timing was the hardest part, you needed to know 3 minutes before the boss dies so you could pop it and not have 1 minute left when the boss died, the last minute was the part that was the most broken cause of the stacking haste buff.
I recall carrying my rogue friend to high rating PvP in Wotlk on my Blood DK 😂 Would just dominate 2v1 until one of them raced for stealth orb to aggro rogue; or healing debuff became enough we could send my sub rogue friend in for the one rotation burst. 😂
per quelli che non lo sanno la formula del warr in vanilla è danno diviso il livello o al contrario, e quella è la rage che ottieni per hit, quindi full geared=tanti danni=tantissima rabbia

Fun fact, warrior in vanilla can also queue cleave and get the hit % buff to offhand just like heroic strike

bubbling without the dmg debuff was op
And they become gods with a tank Shockadin
There was a brief moment where "Shockadin" existed in PVP. Completely broken but super fun.
@@Grayvedygger I feel so bad for all the pala that didn’t try it back in the day

i did that beginning of wrath as well, i'd keep agony, corru, siphon life, immolate, haunt up.
did good damage.

Arcane Mage in TBC when you got 2pc T5 was super OP as well.

19:50 , SOD P1-P2 goated! Was a long time i ago, i had so much fun as i had back then! :D
arms warrior in the first raid in legion was absolutely crazy before they nerfed it, was like 20% over second place on logs
in emerald nightmare? hell nah
Holy Priest when Circle of Healing came in, no CD, low mana cost, smart healing, just spam it when damage came in :D

There was a patch in TBC for ret where in PvP they just one shot everybody. It was quickly fixed, but ye.
yes, this was the most blatant imbalance I ever experienced in wow.
Was that the shockadin spec?
@@Aritase na that was classic

i played surrender to madness priest, and let me tell you that shit was broken. Really hard to master, but insanly broken if you could manage it.
i was mythic raiding then. our shadow priest was definitely having the most fun

as a ret main in ICC, that 2 set WAS nuts. but 40% seemed like a lie. it procced more like 20% of the time.
