No music, no script……perfect!
Thank you!
This is exactly why I adore the sight of mountains a little more than beaches- my second favorite.
Only because you can hear the sounds of nature, as well as wind whistling, birds chirping, and water running through creeks.
I can’t get enough of no commentary, just nature and so much more.
One of my favorites places. Would love to go back.
Simply stunning
After graduating from high school, myself and 3 friends went on a cross country trip. Of course we had the see the location used in Close Encounters.
A very special place.
I remember seeing this on Close Encounter of the 3rd kind.
And made out of mashed potatoes 😂
Thank you ☺️
Magnificent!
Been doing this for forty years this is my favorite part of the show!
I always loved the way I felt after watching it. And I don't like that they shortened it on the show. Thank God for youtube showing the full segment
@@lisamcdonald1820 you know you're right the nature and part of that program has gotten shorter over the years good observation
My wife and I , along with our daughter and her friend walked around the base of it on a trail. It was spectacular!
Prairie dogs are nature's squeak toy. 😀
cutest squeak toy I've ever seen. 🥰
beautiful
I CANNOT unsee the alien spaceships arriving when I see the Tower. Still beautiful though. #thanksspielberg
Yes very beautiful of course, but I can't unsee mashed potatoes. Oh, and then there is that five note tune I can't unhear.
BTW can you make all of your Nature segments a playlist so I can play them on my TV while I’m studying? K thanks!

Enjoy ☀️ua-cam.com/play/PLwBoQZPcMB03nmHKpmXBoBD0NqaoHB29H.html
I have watched the show for 40 years and I have wanted a tape of all the nature segments since day one. 😞
The Perfect Place And No Humans As Animals Are Doing Just Fine Without us
#Grateful 🙏 love you guys, thank you, #mahalo
Cool Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind find.
Can’t see this without thinking of mashed potatoes.
I literally just posted that 😂😂
King Arthur: "BEHOLD! 'Devil's Tower'!"
Knights: "At last! Devil's Tower! Devil's Tower!"
Patsy: ("It's only a big old rock.")
All: "SHHHH!!!"
This should be uploaded in 4K
Petrified tree trunk.
Been there a couple of times.
Interesting...... I have an exact replica of this made of mashed potatoes in my dining room.
Our cat Tia loves to watch this segment of the show - unfortunately too often it is cut very short but thankfully the full version can still be found on-line
Wonder what kind of huge tree that was
Is this the actual “tower” from Close Encounters of the Third Kind?
Of course
ohhh nice
It's Devils Tower and it is one of my favorite places on earth! :) But, there is no apostrophe. From their website: "The U.S. Board of Geographic Names (BGN) was created in 1890 to ensure uniformity in the names of geographic location. Since its inception, BGN has forgone the use of apostrophes in names creating the title "Devils Tower" instead of "Devil's Tower"."
That’s a massive tree stump. I can’t imagine how tall it was.
100%.
Denver Museum of Nature has a display of petrified trees, and looks exactly like Devils Tower.
Been to the Monument twice while living in WY for 6 years
CLOSE ENCOUNTERS IS WHAT I THINK ABOUT THIS
Is that the wind we are hearing?
A long walk around it but fun
Fossilized giant tree
Thanks - one place I haven't built
ALAN!
It's not Alan, it's Steve. 🙂
Nice pull.
nice
I feel mysteriously drawn here...like I'm meant to go here. Now hand me those mashed potatoes.

The scene from close encounters comes to mind
Achiest stem of a plant two layers to each square?
ancient
It’s an ancient tree stump
This means something...
“Bear Lodge” please look it up
Why is it still standing when there is nothing else around?
Ah. Home.
Hopefully destroying humans leave the beautiful animals there ALONE,
It's a wart on the body of mother Gaia.

Why didn't she tell us anything about it? No narration?
Learn to enjoy no noise
In town beep beep
Because that's the way these nature segments at the end of this show have always been done. Natural sounds only.
The only reason I follow this channel is for these Sunday nature videos. Absolutely stunning. 😍🙌
in the presence of Mother Nature and our Creator, human existence is inconsequential
GIANT tree stump cut down by a giant chainsaw surrounded by petrified wood chips. Look for the enormous root system underground.
I’ve seen the root system. It’s amazing!

There's a channel called Spooky Geology that swears it was created by magma. Please let her know this. All I have is my common sense. She needs MORE.

Dinosaur…tree…
Oh no, do the prairie dogs get eaten by the wolf at the end?
