Yeah when the mac pros were released, apple was still using intel processors and amd graphics cards. The entry price for one of those machines was over $5,000 & they could be “specced out” to as much as around 50 grand. Many people bought mac pros for 7 grand, 10 grand, 15 grand etc., Then apple released the m1 chip and all of a sudden there were $700 dollar mac minis & $1,000 dollar macbook air laptops that were more powerful and energy efficient than than any of those mac pros. There were times I was tempted to get a mac pro, but thank goodness I didn’t. 😅
My M1 Macbook Air is incredible. I've been a Mac user from the G3 days and I can't be persuaded to even upgrade because the M1 is blazing fast for my needs.
