Thank you. A lot of important steps you mention that other videos leave out, resulting in frustration. Your instructions were perfect. Made it a breeze.
excellent work sir....
Love it! Pretty handy
Absolutely amazing, saved me time doing my assignments. Great job! Thanks.
So glad to hear that, thank you for watching!
Does that work for office 365 for MacOS? When I try to create a slide from an outline and find the file created in MS Word, it just doesn't allow me to use that file. Does it have to be saved in a specific format? Thx.
Hi there, thanks for the question! We asked our trainers, I hope this answer is helpful for you!: "To my knowledge, for Mac you need to create the outline in Word using Heading Styles then save the doc using the Rich Text Format (.rtf) file type. In PowerPoint you then can use Insert > Slides From > Outline to import the .rtf content. Slides will be generated based on the Styles used. Heading 1 will be the slide title, Heading 2 will be the bullet points on the slide, etc."
Good job!
I did this as decribed but onece I want to select the word file it is somehow greyed out and I cannot select it to be used for powerpoint. Any idea?
same happened to me
PowerPoint does not recognize the word document when I try to create new slides from outline. Do I need to save the Word document in specific format such as .doc or .docx?
A .doc format will work for this tip! You also need to be sure the outline file is closed, or PowerPoint won't be able to use it for the outline. Hope this helps!
Never works for me. All show up as slide titles. I have heading one for what should be the slide title and heading 2 for bullet points. In PowerPoint, everything is a slide title,
Hi there, we just re-tested this tip and it's working for us in Word/Powerpoint for Microsoft 365. Have you tried looking at the Word document in Outline View to see if the hierarchy appears how you want it to? Heading 2 style will create a bulleted text box on the same slide, Heading 3 style will create a sub-bullet beneath H2, and so on.
