    Not sure if it’s a mistake but I would have sealed everything first then Black a few inches beyond the silver then mask it off and spray the silver. Nice work!

      @@GarageNoise yeah will do seen so many videos and everyone said it’s an amazing gun for the price but hopefully my air compressor can keep up with it unlike my pro lite can’t use it since I got a 29G air compressor with it full of air 150 psi can’t get it to stay at 2 bar

    Hi Chris. Would using a clear base coat application be a good addition when refinishing any colored substrate? I guess this smoothens out the finish when you have repaired / primed areas along with non-repaired areas just ready for clear coat.
    Would love to see some content respective on blending theory / methodology that can be used to determine and proceed with this process to use as a guide

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  4 місяці тому

      In warm or hot temps clear base is a great addition. It's not really necessary on solid colors in cool temps.

  • @rolly5009
    @rolly5009 2 роки тому +2

    Do you have different guns for different jobs depending what type of finish you need to achieve ? Or do you just use the gun you feel most comfortable with ?
    Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us ❤️

    How do you get vertical surfaces to be as slick as a horizontal surface when spraying clear?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  Рік тому +1

      Thin wet coats. Getting a slick finish is all about air setting in relation to fluid volume. Of course distance and spraying speed can change the appearance as well. I have several video's on this topic but will be doing a dedicated detailed video on this soon so stay tuned. Appreciate the comment and support!

    How long do you have to wait to apply clearcoat after painting?

  • @stephenpinckard526
    @stephenpinckard526 2 роки тому +1

    So you have to keep your wet bed wet for just your first pass of base or how do I keep it wet for my 2nd pass/when I’m blending. Won’t it flash before I get to it in time?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 роки тому

      If you need to you can apply a 2nd coat of wet bed right before you blend the color. It also depends what your goal is with the wet bed. I use it on metallics to create a good clear basecoat before applying color. So metallics lay flat in fine scratches from prep. If your concerned about your blend, lay down another coat of wet bed just before you do your blend. Hope this helps appreciate the comment and support!

    • @stephenpinckard526
      @stephenpinckard526 2 роки тому +1

      I am trying to fix a dent. I already put filler and primer down. It’s metallic paint. Do I need to keep the wet bed wet the whole time or just put it down and start blending and it’s ok if it dries during blending?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 роки тому

      @@stephenpinckard526 yes, it's ok if it dries it will still help the blending. I like to keep two guns one with the clear basecoat and the other with the color. (That's if you have two guns) and I'll put another coat of clear base on my blend area just before I do my blend. You don't have to do that tho. Appreciate the comment and support!
