There are some 737s that have IFE screens, but I'm pretty sure AA refurbished those to the new cabin without IFE screens. Don't forget that American also has the A321Ts, which have IFE screens.
So kinda dumb question. It's been 11 years since I've flew, but what's the reason they removed the IFE screens? Is it due to upkeep, cheaper royalties if it's direct to a device? When I flew it was either United or US Aiir, and none of them had IFE's. Usually I wound up on A321's or 737's.
Great spotting

Did you notice the Arizona Cardinals Plane that previously belonged to Delta Airlines? Registered as N867DA as a B777-200.
Did a hop through Sky Harbor not long ago. Even the same gate. Crowded and tired indeed.
A and B gates are definitely tired after 34 years. Renovations should be coming in the next few years.
