  • An expanded segment from Columbus Neighborhoods: Downtown & Franklinton
It's a time of year to reflect on the people who inspire us. We want you to meet the man who inspired all of Columbus -- from politicians to streetcar workers -- to reach out to one another in friendship. Washington Gladden was a religious leader committed to social justice, and he called on city leaders to treat every citizen fairly in the age of industrialization. From our producers of Columbus Neighborhoods we bring you an extended look at the "first citizen" of the capital city.

Oh, Senhor, deixa-me caminhar contigo. Em veredas humildes de serviço gratuito; Ensina-me o teu segredo, ajuda-me a suportar a tensão da prova , a preocupação dos cuidados

In Luke 14, Jesus teaches and instructs that people need to be inclusionary, with rewards in eternal life. IN Matt 12:1, Jesus leads the disciples to collect grain on the Sabbath. He taught to do good, even if it meant breaking unjust rules.
This is great to hear about Washington Gladden. He is part of a larger movement, and FD Roosevelt also. Thanks!
