- Suriname is a very interesting country. People from all over the world came there to work and live. Therefore, there is an African, Indonesian, Chinese and Indian influence.
I explored Paramaribo’s market for breakfast and a local Indonesian restaurant for lunch and honestly, I was blown away.

I'm Indonesian, They are from Java Indonesia migrated since 130 years ago , that You ate was "Nasi Campur / Nasi Rames" they do Javanese language as well.

That is called Berliner Bol. A round ball donut, with strawberry or cherry jam (marmelade) in it!
Beautiful country and so many kind of food! And there is now only one million people living over there, the main roots are from the original red skin Indians, the African people (who ancestors were slaves) from Holland, Indonesia (were taken away from Java and put in an boat, like my grandparents), India, China, the Mixed cultured people called Creole, and other people from the neighbour countries.
The heat over there can be at 38 degrees Celsius over there! There are raining seasons and dry seasons with a lot of sun...and so many kinds of fruit over there!
The nature is beautifull, a lot of green, and hidden small creeks and waterfalls! How do i know?? 66,5 years ago i was born there. I came to Holland as an teenager and i was beautifull braun coloured! Now i am seniore and my skin is almost light. Long time i haven t see my native country. Friends of mine going regularly and they say, ,,you will not recognize the country again ..every things is changed...big malls, very busy traffic, and a lot of houses are broken down and build new .. pppffzzz
Hopefully one day you will have the chance to visit :) ! People are so nice and is so diverse and of course this is reflected on food :) thanks for sharing all the info :)

Yes of course, i would visited Suriname again, but with my son and daughter in law and her family!
I have still family over there! From father side and mother side!
And of course i would go for the beautifull weather, goregouse nature, deliciouse food and fruit!
