Nice that you have a new summit to activate! I always enjoy seeing Lance out enjoying himself with you! Looks like he had a great time! 73, Patrick KF4LMZ
Looks like Lance could have used my husky for some inspiration to pull you up the hill lol. Good to hear you on SSB again. Great video thanks KK7LVA 73
SSB works just fine on 10 watts. Glad you got started on 40 meters. I always do and I never regret it. I haven’t bothered with 20 meters on a summit in months. I just go straight to 10 meters and then 15 after I’m done with 40 meters.
Maybe a good reason to have something cheap/light permanently stored with the KX2 - like the QRPGuys KX paddle (I have a palm pico always attached to my KX3)
Indeed, I used to have the N6ARA paddle permanently in my kx2 kit as a backup, but it must've jumped out at some point. FWIW, the key cable for my kx2 usually permanently lives in there, but I took it out to test another project and forgot to put it back. If anything, I'll definitely go back to doing a gear check while packing.
What antenna are you using ? Is it the k6ark end fed ? Do you remember the length of wire for the radiatior and the counterpoise ? Awsome activation, your pup makes me miss my heeler. looks like you had a great time .
Hi Glen, it is a K6ARK EFRW. You can build it from the same EFHW kit and he has instructions on his website. I use a 41' radiator and 17' counterpoise. 73.

Good activation. Having the best friend there makes it even better!

Great contact de NT3S
You better watch out, Lance is quickly becoming the main character in these videos 🤣

Nice job Tim, well saved!

You need 4 huskies and a sled then you could do 100w sota the easy way.
