That front crank bolt locking bracket does work turn it till it lines up on the next flat part of the hexagon for the crank bolt. As you do you will have one that lines up as you call it bolt capture. Peace out. By the way that top coolant hose with the 2 bolts theres an aluminum aftermarket unit to replace it cost 15 buck they are known to deteriorate.
Hey mate just wondering how the nst pullys have been for you now that you have ahad them long enough by now to have pros and cons on the crank pully another video would imfornative thansk
@EvanCaron Hi Evan, I asked you if in relation to the NST Pulley you could make a Return. Is it ok, it didn't cause you any breakdowns or break your engine? It’s been a while since you installed them Thank you
Hey! No issues with the pulley’s so far. Im having some other issues with the car so iv barely talked about it. (Got rearended, was in bodyshop, turbo issues, injector issues) il be back working on the car in the next two months. Going to try to post alot more this year.
Every single time i see that VTT locking ring, its people complaining it doesn't line up. some say it only lines up with holes in 1 position, however, most just say its completely wrong.
@@EvanCaron Agreed, but you're right. I couldn't find anyone who had issues with the N54s because of something with balancing, I think. i I just found that the N54 is "internally balanced" which shouldn't mess up the engine with these pulleys. Engines that are "externally balanced" have issues with lighter pulleys because the crank wheels were designed to be a specific weight, and that throws off balancing, and messes up your engine.
@@gabeishere4990 Your comment is very interesting. I am wondering if this could have an influence on the engine in relation to the fact that it is balanced with the crankshaft. I have mounted the 2 N54 pulleys on my engine. Should I be worried? I see that you say that it is internally balanced so a priori no but I prefer to ask for opinions to be sure. Or did you learn that the N54 is internally balanced, that interests me
I don’t remember doing that but i don’t see why it would matter? Unless it was lubricated by the coolant but iv never heard of that. If it breaks it breaks aha

they have been good, no issues. don't really notice them
how do you like the pulleys so far ? im considering the nst pulley kit
Wondering the same , alot of trash talk for that pulley but never really seen a failure attributed to one ...
no issues yet, the car is parked for winter right now

OK perfect. So much the better. And thank you, it's thanks to your video that I installed the pulleys and also installed the oil radiator@@EvanCaron

What the link sick build 🔥
I wanna get the NST pulley kit but a lot of people talk smack about it on how it can ruin your engine. Is this true? And any updates?
I’v had no issues.. haven’t even heard anything bad about them personally so im not sure haha. Not sure how they would ever ruin the engine

Did it destroy your engine ? As talked about in other forums?
No issues
Sick bro 👍🏽👍🏽👌🏽
Does the NST look like it will deflect the belt if it fails ?
It might have had a slightly taller rear lip but otherwise I wouldn’t count on it helping, crank seal guard is the real fix
Can u send me the link for the cooler
just an eBay kit! easy to find
how are your oil temperatures after instaling bigger oil cooler? i track my car and i hate my oil temperature- they are getting 140 C+ sometimes
definitely runs cooler and more consistent, going to try tracking it this year so we will see
Not good idea to run water pump dry

How does the crank pulley work for you i have one scared to install due to all the horror stories
