I just spotted K9 on the top shelf !! Love these episodes !
Chris from Metropolis is a real character and I mean that in the best way. I always enjoy my visits to his shop in Warwick and because he now knows me as a regular customer he’s opened up the shop just for me on the odd occasion.
Great series so far Joe, Gav and Matt the Camera man.
Great toy shops amazing toys in there good video again
Top quality episode as usual..I just dont want this series to end..!!!
Another fantastic episode fellas, must remember to use a coin toss next time Im in the shop ha ha!!!!!
Great episode, but that coin toss was terrible! Not even a second of air time!
As soon as you walked into that first store, my brain was just going K-9! K-9!
Another fabulous episode 🥸
They just get better!
Telly bots!!! Had totally forgotten about that show!!!
You know I'm 90% sure I had that Centurions Desk Tidy as a kid! Either that or another Franchise version of it! I remember the arm being a Magnifying Glass and the Tape dispenser!
Love that you're still on about From Hell It Came Gav
Absolutely loving these episodes. People need to share them around and get them more views. So well made.
Another great episode guys! 👍😎
You were right...great places,so picturesque. That Metropolis shop its great. I have seen it in other videos. Nice video, thanks again.
Love ACME toys and Collectables. Great video fellas
Another great episode chaps, fantastic camerawork from Matt to focus on the items being discussed. Spotted Gav buying the 'Merlin' electronic game (at 15:47 and 16:19) as I used to play a lot of blackjack/pontoon on my brother's one:) Cheers & all the best.
Next time we need hour long episodes please guys, half hour ain't enough!!!!
I've e lived in the west midlands (Coventry to be exact) and I had no clue these shops where so close to me.!!! I will 100% visit Acme toys and Metropolis, roll on payday.!
“It’s you, and I’ve never won on a coin toss”…. Lol!
Oh wow, that Maskatron gave me flashbacks! I definitely had that as a kid, I remember the face swaps. Honestly never knew his name though.
Love Chris, true gent and great dealer. one of the best and so much fun.
Just when I'm getting started in a bricks & mortar shop I meet a man who has a second one just to house his Dalek! Two amazing shops, so much respect for the O.G.'s.
Great video...
Brilliant episode again. Lovely stuff. And that Palitoy Death Star 👀🤩🤩🤩🤩 With me being born and raised in Leicester and my dad being born in Coalville...Absolutely love anything Palitoy ❤ 😉👍👍👍👍👍
Another fantastic episode chaps and some beautiful, beautiful toys 🙂
These guys have amazing Toys that I loved as a kid and I see he has Action Man which was my favourite Toy as a kid and I had the vehicles as well, my second favourite toys was Star Wars and I still collect toys even now and that's Star Wars Hot Toys figures, DC Hot Toys figures and Marvel Hot Toys figures which are high end realistic 1/6 scale figures for Adults and I also collect high end statues as well and some Black Series.
I love the way Gav says 'Knievel' - great episode guys, ACME is a fave of ours :)
great video from the dynamic duo and with cinematic excellence from Matt toy dealers and shops like these are what makes this country superb i want to be 11 again no fun growing up and old. so much to learn something new always around the corner. best regards Ian.
Another great episode, I'd love to rummage through all those boxes in the back rooms of toy shops.
Great to meet you yesterday Joe, my wife and I really enjoyed looking round your shop, it's got her looking for her old toys now. I need to phone you tomorrow to ask about a couple more of the figures I was looking.
Another great show!
Another cracking episode! That box of G.I joes carded from the back room of ACME made me smile. Congrats on the Death Star pickup. Gavin finding that space toys book was fantastic with all the old pics of the Kenner Star Wars in it. Great Video!
Metropolis. Great stock but so expensive. Thank goodness I acquired my 60s Who toys from elsewhere!!
The second I saw that Tyco Kentrosaurus, I knew exactly what you were going to say. Nice find! Great episode!
Howdy from chicago
WONDER PLACES
red shadows are the best and loved telebugs and oooo that dalek my brother sat on my death star and broke it but its a great piece although thats a little beaten up for my liking
Another great video, always love watching new episodes on train 🚊 ride to work, loving all the vintage toys and good work joe on getting the palatoy Death Star that is truly a holy grail 😎👍🏻
Love this series totally but sorry Joe after seeing you hold so many others over the barrel haggling over prices...it was good to see Chris keep you in check for once. 😉 BTW totally agree about the Palitoy Death Star...I had one as a kid and it is definitely my grail piece even today...if only my Mum had not given away all my Star Wars toys.
Another brilliant episode with some real gems found and a master and apprentice moment 😀.
Looking forward to next week's already, thanks guys!
@4:40 I swear he’s Jay Leno’s doppelgänger!
22:29 Honey West (Anne Francis) a spin off from Burke's Law.
Joe trying to haggle with an old master. It's like Luke trying to mind-trick Obi-Wan. Just too canny of a dealer, someone who knows what his stuff is worth!
😂 you aren’t wrong!!
The best part of my #Sundays ✌ #MaskFan
4:34 The fella looks like Jay Leno!
He does a bit!
groovy!
I can't get over how Gav points at things with his middle finger. For some reason it freaks me out
Dread to think how much a graded carded last 17 is worth.great shows these
MICRONAUTS😮🙃😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Those Ace McCloud desktop organizers are like $40 in box here in the U.S. At least when I looked
I’ve not seen any minty ones at that price for years. However if you find any you know we’ll buy them!
Happy a new episode is up. Do you guys collect comics or old magazines as well?
Another great question. We are hosting a live UA-cam toy shop on tour q&a at the end of the series. We’ll answer that then 👍
Not happy hearing that the series is close to concluding. Need many more episodes.
24:20 Burn it. Worth about a quid as kindling.
Just so you know you are definitely overpaying for kindling 😘
The changing market must be challenging, model trains just don't have the wider audience they once had. Not that I don't like some of the new stuff but it's a bit boring with Anime, Star Wars, and Pop vinyls dominating shelf space in so many stores.
Personally I can't stick to any one era of toys, the only thing holding me back on pre 1970s items is the prices since things only get rarer and more costly as time passes. Funny thing now is extremely early price increases on relatively new items, guessing the older demographic, limited editions, exclusive releases, and the scalping matters all add up to that.
I want to come to your shop .
where is it ?
Leicester in the U.K.
Why didn't he have a telly as a child
Something to ask in a few weeks when we do the toy shop on tour UA-cam live q&a 👍
I would suggest that he didn't have a TV when he was young, because he couldn't find a TV salesman willing to give him 70% off the price of it!
0.50 May I point out how pretty she is?
WHAT BARBARIAN
Graded stuff kills the hobby dead for me.
Who grades it?
Surely it's just used uncarded stuff scrubbed up and put in a perspex box?
I can do that myself.
Love the episodes but the camera work for this one is not good,to much movement, making me sick.
