    Wow!!! Your hair turned out so great! It looks like a bom unit!! I also do the Hairlicious method when I relax my hair. I just did it this Sunday. I love seeing how different people relax their hair. Hopefully by the end of this year I’ll have the length you have now. Goals!! Can’t wait to see your next video with the trim! ❤️😍🙏🏾

    I could never be natural 😅, my hair is too course and scalp is too painful, even with tangled relaxed hair with growth.

    I'm overdue for my relaxer because I haven't made the time. I stretch for 16wks but hit 20 today but I plan on relaxing Monday. Your hair looks great and love the roller wrap, lol. I've never heard that term before but it definitely fits.

    Love this! Thanks so much for sharing. I feel confident to try this by myself with your tips. I do roller sets on my hair and ORS heat protect styling mousse makes them more defined and the curls last longer.

      You’re welcome. Hmmm I used the mousse when I did a heat free roller set. I’ll have to try that with the moisturizer next go round.

    I've been natural for over 5 years and have been really struggling recently. It's very long, thick and tangles all the time.
    I don't intend to relax my hair right now, but I enjoy watching the process. If only I knew these things when I was relaxed I wouldn't have had such a tough time with breakage!

      There are a lot of techniques many weren’t aware of before making the decision to go natural. You are not alone. Happy to hear you still watch. There are still some pieces of my other processes that transfer to natural hair.

    I just did mine last week, after 3 months (12 weeks), my growth (4C hair) was 3-4 inches...I got to do it more often. I was ready at 9 weeks but life happened. And I had dyed my hair at 6.5 or so weeks, so I had to wait a bit. Thank goodness I had parted and twisted my hair prior to. It’s much faster, even though I kept the relaxer for almost 1 hour.

    The techniques I do when I wash out my relaxer I do wash my hair at least twice the third time I leave the shampoo on for at least 10 minutes and then I wash rinse very well and then I do a very mild protein treatment after using this protein as well for about 7 years and it is my staple I don't use any other protein in my hair I also let the relaxer set for 17 minutes while I am smoothing the relaxer :-) your hair came out very beautiful I use the Mizani butter blend relaxer I also use their leave in conditioner as well as the white peony leave-in from Meille.. those conditioners are my go to :-) thank you ever so kindly God bless you🙏💞

    • @kristenstikes
      @kristenstikes  Рік тому +1

      Feel free to relax it whenever you’re ready. A haircut won’t affect your relaxer. Take the normal precautions like not irritating your scalp.

      Moisturizing and sealing several times per week helps keep my new growth soft and my ends hydrated. Protective styling is another tactic that also helps to stretch a little further.

      Usually every 8-10 weeks. The point of new growth and relaxer are two different textures and you’d almost have to treat them like they are two different heads of hair. You treat relaxed hair different than natural. Moisture, moisture, moisture is key

      1. Every time you comment you contribute to my engagement. Meaning you increase the chance that my videos pop up on someone’s explore page to help SPREAD this info. So first things first, I thank you for your 113 comments on my channel. 😊
      2. You also provide the opportunity to display my professionalism during a public adverse situation... which again... contributes to my engagement. Companies want ambassadors with that level of competence and the community appreciates maturity and civility.
      3. I am very intentional to never down natural hair. It’s beautiful but it isn’t a one-way ticket to healthy hair. I will not bend on that fact. When someone speaks confidently about a topic and it triggers you to feel some typa way because you can’t produce the same results...that just revealed an insecurity. We all have them. It’s human. What you choose to do with your insecurities (ie. Being an internet troll) largely defines your character. Don’t get mad. Get better. Keep watching as I know you will and your natural hair will thrive. That’s it and that’s all. Thanks for being a Super Spreader and coming to my TED Talk.
