Good for you Lisa! I had a weird spot that had changed after pregnancy. I went to a random derm because I couldn’t get in with my regular one. He looked at it, said it was fine and when I asked him to remove it he said “what are you afraid of, dying?”. I insisted and it was melanoma. I had the margins cleared with a follow up surgery and I was fine, that was 14 years ago. But always listen to your gut! Drs don’t know everything. Beautiful look and thanks for the great video!
My husband had a mole off because I was worried about it..the doctor thought it was fine..turned out to be skin cancer and he's had several off since, all cancer!! Then I told my aunt to have one off I didn't like the look of (I'm a nurse by the way)...and doctor had same reaction, its fine!!, after insisting, he cut off minimal
...and she got recalled, it was cancer and he hadn't got it all and she had another large wedge of flesh removed!! Why is it we get adverts telling us,..if it changes shape, odd colours, significant change, lumpy, itchy, scabby, etc... and then when we notice and see the doctor, they are "it's fine!!".... we all need to insist on having these things Off when we notice them!! If it's nothing...big deal!! But if it is cancer.... it's saved your life!!!!

If we take the time to go to them (it’s my least favorite thing to do) they should at least take us serious!

I'm glad you are excited about your new set-up. But I prefer your old much more cropped up frame. it is just much more satisfying to be able to see everything close up. The position of the mirror doesn't matter much.

Now that summer is here I really need to get out my Jane products and use them as I know they have real protection in them and it is hot in Texas! I have asked sooooo many creators to make a video using a FULL FACE of REAL SPF products (so SPF products disguised as makeup... not just makeup with SPF added) for over a year now with brands like COLOR SCIENCE (they carry only SPF 50 PA+++ products that include things like anti-aging/color correcting/hydrating/illuminating serum, primers, moisturizers, skin tints, liquid & powder foundations, concealers/under eye color correctors, cream bronzer, cream blush, cream highlighter, powder bronzer, powder highlighter, and setting powder… the only product I don’t think they carry is eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and brow products). I can't wait to see the products you teach about!

Lisa, thanks for this very timely video! I work at a garden center and am outdoors a lot. I wear SPF clothing and Australian Gold SPF 50 on my face, neck and hands. At 65, I'm always on the lookout for products that will protect my skin AND improve my appearance!
Darrin Ellis-May: the Beauty Within youtube channel reviewed Korean sunscreens which I highly recommend. Korean skincare and cosmetic technology is literallly 20 years ahead of the US and the best in the world. Beauty of Joseon is one of the most loved brands and they have sunscreen.

I think the larger mirror is fine. Maybe Zoom in a little with the camera, as you look much further away than your former setup. Love the Jane Iredale products, and the hydrating mist makes all the difference in the world. First one I have found that actually works for me! Have a beautiful weekend! Hi Lisa!!! Thank you for bringing awareness and advising us to listen to our gut when we think something may be wrong. As a young teen, I loved the sun and would only put on sunscreen when I knew I was going to lay out and tan. Now that I am older, I regret not using sunscreen daily every though advised by every physician I have gone to. Now it's part of my routine and tell everyone to wear it.

I ordered the sunscreen and lip balm yesterday. Thank you so much for reintroducing me to JI cosmetics. I used to wear it around 15 years ago but it was hard to find. I bought a little kit with loose powder base, pressed base, brush, primer and mist. I love it.

On a side note, I did enjoy in the past when the camera was zoomed in on your face when doing complexion, and on eyes when doing your eye makeup - it helps so much to see how a product performs or to see application techniques :)

I think option 1 & 2 are totally fine! Good ole Mac Woodwinked! Jane Iredale foundation is especially nice for humid, hot Texas summers! I have noticed the loose powder minerals in my shade is way too dark. The loose is more economical, but I like the pressed so much that I still buy it 😊. Appreciate the discount! 🎉❤

Really pretty! I need humidity proof make up. Like ASAP. I have dry skin, but from now until October (I'm in the midwest), you'd never know it. Things that are normally glowy end up looking like a sweaty mess. So, maybe if you have time? I know you live in a hot, humid climate too!
I think either option one or two works well. As others have said, I didn’t even notice it until you mentioned it, lol. I personally am not a fan of hand held mirrors in videos, but do what makes you comfortable!

The mirror is probably best positioned horizontally on the wider shot but i like it best when you zoom in closer when applying makeup. It provides the best look at your application and how the makeup actually looks on your skin!
I had my first skin cancer spot removed last year. They tested it and mine came back where I had to have surgery to check margins but luckily everything was removed and all came back fine.
