#14: There is no agreement as to whether methane or CO2 is more responsible. In fact, recent thinking is leaning more toward methane.
Well, although the questions were quite simple and I'm in my seventies, I think I did very well indeed. I almost feel like patting myself on the head. 🤗🤗 It's nice to know I'm not senile yet.
Well done! Thanks for participating! ❤️👍
I'm 75 , scored 47. Wonder what score Dump would get?

PH is the potential hydrogen not power of hydrogen
@Jennifer, you're right! PH stands for "Potential of Hydrogen"
We're so sorry for such an oversight.
Thanks! That’s what I thought….
Neither is correct. It actually means "the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration". p is the symbol used in science to represent the negative logarithm.
"HA! HAA!" in Nelson from Simpsons voice 👆👦
That's what I thought.
Would have been nice to mention that this test was for students in about 7th or 8th grade.
10 seconds is too long .
Your right ten seconds is too long. You either know the answer or you don’t.
Too long
10 seconds is too long a time, it should be 5 seconds. Furthermore Anemia does not cause Iron deficiency but Iron deficiency causes Anemia.
The person that put this together decided 10 seconds...lighten up, just a bit of fun.
Increase the speed of the video!
Then start your own channel numbnuts
Just play it back at 2x speed
Yes too long 3 seconds were enough
That was fun, thank you. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️👍
What is the most populated country in the country? Kindly translate.
Which should be there and india became the most populous country in world in 2023... with population over 1.45 billion
I was unaware that she had surpassed China. It'll be all right: Indians are resourceful@@hrishirajmajumder9154
It should read what is the most populated world in the country 😂.
Almost! 😂😂🤣
40/50
Fun! I wish the questions and answers were read aloud as well as displayed on screen. I could listen and answer as I clean and do household chores to make the time go by faster!
Thank you for the feedback! That's a great idea. I'll work on adding audio for the questions and answers in future videos so you can listen while you clean and do household chores. I'm glad you're enjoying the quizzes! ♥👍
Well, despite the simplicity of the questions and my age being in the seventies, I'm rather pleased with how I performed. I almost feel inclined to give myself a little pat on the head. It's reassuring to realize my mind is still sharp. ❤❤😍😍
Guess I better do some reading .. only 37 out of 50 ,,, However , certainly picked up some useful knowledge that I can store and probably never use again. Thank You
I only got 34 so you are smarter then me and most people think I’m pretty smart
@@MikeB-in1nd I am most likely older than you .. may have helped at guessing ..

Thank you. For putting this together and letting me share in it LOVE it
@Jerry, thank you for taking the quiz! 🙏🥰❤️👍
There are 9 zeros in a American Billion but when I was taught growing up a British Billion was a Million Million so 12 Zeros. Anaemia is a lack of Iron not the cause of.
@Paul Wilson, you're right. It's an oversight. Thanks for the feedback.
I enjoyed this very much. I was surprised how much I remembered and still learning something new. Thank you for sharing. 🙋
I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed the quiz! It's always rewarding to see progress in learning and discovering new things. ❤👍
Yes excellent more of these quizzes we'll all end up chasers
The only question I got right was, "are you ready?"
Me too!
Good for you because everyone else so far seem to have hit close to 50.
lol
That’s just sad.
I can't believe I got soooo many right
How many continents?
Anywhere from 3 to 8, depending on the definition of 'continent' and which geologist you ask.
- The obvious 3: Antartica, America, and then the rest because the rest is connected or at least almost connected by land bridges
- Split off Australia and you got 4 continents. This is a very common definition of continent: if it is connected via a land bridge, then it is the same continent
- Split off Africa and you got 5. Which is another common definition because Europe really isn't more than an appendix of Asia
- Nevertheless split off Europe and you got the traditional 6 continents.
- In a few countries America is split into North and South America and you got 7
- Add the mostly sunken continent of Zealandia and you got 8
If "ten seconds" is too slow, go to "Settings" at the bottom of the screen and change the video's speed.
On my laptop I can advance a video by 5 seconds by pressing the right arrow key On my IPad I can advance a video by 10 seconds with a double tap on the right side of the screen.
We did not learn that antactica was the largest desert in my time, but being curious and with wikipedia, I learned this new definition. Curiosity doesn't have to disappear with age. Thanks for the internet!
That's amazing! It's fascinating how knowledge continues to evolve and how the internet allows us to keep learning new things. Curiosity truly knows no age limit! 😊
wikipedia is not necessarily always correct. If you define desert in terms of availability of water (rather than purely precipitation), the Sahara is the largest. Antarctica actually has 70% of all the worlds fresh water.
@@LawrenceMclean That's exactly what I meant, I answered the quiz according to the current trivia data, exactly like that found in wikipedia. While I answered the quiz question correctly, am aware of the definition I learned before (as an avid student of this type of data / definition). Anyway, that's it...
A general knowledge quiz --- what a fantastic idea! I managed to squeeze 48 out of 50. Thank you so much for this terrific quiz! 🙏😍🤓🦋🦋🫶
@Mel Stiller, that's a fantastic score! Congratulations on getting 48 out of 50! I'm glad you enjoyed the quiz. Keep up the good work! 🙏😍🤓🦋🦋❤❤

'There were actually a few cases of lone Japanese soldiers who continued fighting after the war's official end in 1945. The most famous of these is Hiroo Onoda, who surrendered in the Philippines in March 1974. He and his small group held out for nearly 29 years after the war, believing the messages dropped about Japan's surrender were Allied propaganda.'
I remember when he was discovered and fascinated by the articles in the newspaper.
Technically (for the awkward, like me) the war ended when Germany joined the western world. When the Wall came down -1989
It's ongoing in the minds of UK Telegraph readers
pH is potence Hydrogen
Power of hydrogen or potential of hydronium ion
I got 38 out of 50 still its been 52 years since I was at school😊
Acoustic guitar background for this is gorgeous!!
Thanks for the quiz. I got six incorrect. There are some very smart people below in the comments that have corrected a couple of mistakes with the answers. So, let's learn together. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
2 seconds enough. I do not agree with 20.Q answer. The nicest game is the Girls Tennis. 😂😂
Good to see how I’d do on Who wants to be a Millionaire with no lifelines left - I scored 33! Never heard of Angel Falls and thought biggest tea producer was India....was too quick to count 5 continents but would have got it had I thought about it. Gave Rio as capital of Brazil and can’t remember my other blunders.
Although my general knowledge is quite low, I enjoy doing this exercise.
Well done, Made Winasa! ❤️👍
Thank you for taking the quiz. Glad you enjoyed it.
@@englishtestsandlogic The less I get, the more deligent I take the qs.🙏🏼
Anemia is caused BY iron deficiency! Ph means the POTENTIAL of hydrogen, not power! My score was 42/50
No it is power of hydrogen and potential of hydronium ion... children india are far more intelligent than most scientists today in world... I am just 23 and I got only 1 wrong😊
You are the future of the World,if US let You.@@hrishirajmajumder9154
You did better than me I got 34 so you have a higher IQ than me. Way to be smarter
The "p" in pH stands for "potenz," which is a German word meaning "power" or "exponent" of, in this context, the concentration of hydrogen ions. The term pH was introduced by Danish chemist Søren Peder Lauritz Sørensen in 1909 to represent the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion concentration in a solution. The "H" in pH stands for "hydrogen." Therefore, pH essentially represents the power of hydrogen ions in a solution.
I thought I saw potential. I had to run back thru to see. Thank god for double speed. lol. Guess I’m a little OCD. Had to know.
The touch screen doesn't work to give answers
I got 36 right! But learnt a lot ! I’ll sure remember them another time!
Good job, Lisa Roberts! ❤️👍
I, too, am in my 70s - 75, and I missed 6 questions.
I missed seven. Mostly math and science questions.
I missed 11 !!

The UK is not a part of the European Union--Brexit.
Easy enough coz Germany led axis powers and being one to lead in ww1 and ww2, it needed armies to fight and increasing population became top priority...
It's neither here nor there. Do you know when this quiz was developed?
YES IT IS = STILL !
@@dakg8034 As you can easily see in the header it was published 2024-Mar-17. Therefore I expect the information to be up to date to this date (or at most a few days before).
I just read the actual question.
It simply asked which country in the EU has the largest population but It never claimed that the UK is part of the EU.
Assuming that all listed countries are members of the EU is a common fallacy. There could be India or even Wales or Paris as possible answers. They would just be wrong answers.

The beautiful game is football , soccer is American term
For my part, baseball is the beautiful sport, but I got the right answer on this quiz. 41 out of 50.
Good job, Elvira! ❤️👍
Soccer actually originated in Britain, "Sock ball"

Q43. Who was the last prophet in Islam? A) Muhammad - B) Moses - C) Jesus or D) October 31st.- As a non-believer I was a bit stumped here, but I'm reasonably sure it wasn't 'D' .-
I was taught that Rio was the capital of Brazil at school, which gives a clue to my age (the wrong side of 70) but I knew it had been changed.
Also at school we had 12 zeroes to a billion.
The war didn't end (pedantic) until Germany joined the west. The Wall came down in 1989.
I blurted out France for the Renaissance, then paused it, went outside and slapped myself...hard.
The study of fungi was another erroneous answer. I guessed at A.
48/50 - I see knowledge as being lucky to have a nigh on excellent memory. My head is packed with useless trivia. We played a game at Easter called 'I Should Have Known That' = We played the same game last Christmas and my team (Me, eldest daughter and eldest grand daughter) lost by 8 points. I blamed the cold I had, and was jeered for my efforts. Just me (fully fit) and eldest daughter trounced the opposition 70/72 in the Xmas Rematch.
I love all quizzes, no matter what the subject, apart from football, cooking and art. No interest in any of those three, so I don't 'read about them and nothing gets absorbed by my little grey cells.
Thanks to question setter(s).
I missed 12, thanks I keep learning at 77 years old
Good job! Thank you for taking the quiz. ❤️👍
I missed 11! It’s. Ok . Good exercise for brain.
At my age you have a lifetime of random information. I missed the rings on the Olympics flag, and the one about soccer being beautiful. Not bad for a elder!

I think the real question is “What IS the most populated country in the country” 😂

It should be "what is the most populated country in the WORLD", not "country"!

Is Nelson Mandala the same guy as Nelson Mandela? They botched the spelling at 1:25.
when typing into the search line, one gets a pic of both instruments.
One spelling though is BRITISH English.
One is AMERICAN Englisch.
And it depends also what nationality you are. For me as an AUSTRIAN, in my native language, both answers or replies in the search would be wrong.

I'm 69 and I only missed 2 answers. At least one of the questions did not make sense... "what is the most populated country in the country". In addition, PH is the "Potential of Hydrogen", not power of hydrogen. I have to wonder how our current high schoolers would fair on such a test? Just saying...

Hey
Some years before Russia was. But after it was broken how did mark correct to Russia?
You are referring to the former Soviet Union, even after the brake up, Russia remained the largest country by area.
Look on a globe or world map. Russia has so much land mass; yet, China is the most populated country.
@Lynda, currently, India is the most populated country in the world.
Although I am a world renowned trivia expert I was unable to correctly answer any of these questions.
Even the experts can stumble sometimes! Thanks for giving it a shot and joining in on the fun. Maybe next time you'll crack the code! 😉
