Yeah. I remember a moment in thunder's childhood when he was weaned. Thunder used to get angry and start attacking when the food in the hand gets eaten.
Thanks for the video Kurt, really enjoyed it, the birds being so tame is a tribute to how you treat them. They have come a long way in a few days and you are right to chase them from.the grass !! Car behind the loft thanks, noted only small things but all make a difference. Missed my mate Feral and also note the other Adam Archer bird just wants to fly but love all of them really looking forward to the next one, best video so far for me. Sorry about he late response...

Can't stop starring at her
In some lofts, fanciers tie a normal plastic bag on a broomstick to get pigeons flying or to keep them up in the air to fly more. This way, pigeons learn to stay up in the air more and you can get them to go higher and learn to fly together. Give it a go brother
Brilliant channel this fair play, always looking forward to the next one. A little tip regarding shelves, or landing boards inside the loft, I always cut off the ends! On an angle, to minimise the birds hitting their keel bone. Being a lifetime fancier take it from me some will bash into them, hope that helps 🤔 Keep up the good work, all the best from Wales 🏴

MANEY LOFT's, this is what we were all looking forward to that was a great sight it looks like when u get them flying strong they'll be coming straigh down on2 the landing board another PLUS, i think u are right to keep them up off the grass ok there is grit down there but ud rather have them sitting on the loft, but saying that there's a load of thing's u can do to keep them up off the grass, GREAT VIDEO 👍

We always used a pole with a metal U shaped electric fence wire holder, in the center of the tip of the pole, with a length of rope or fine chain, baling twine will do....which has a white garbage bag tied to the end of it. Then when we wanted the birds to fly, one of us would raise up the pole and swing it about making the white garbage bag cause a strange whistle as it moved through the air. It frightened the pigeons into taking flight and off they went. Anyway, I hope that you will find a way to get them up without being to scary for them. Oh yes, the bag was cut with little slits so the whistling noise would be made.

All they need now is good treatment wormer and baths for flying and mites and proper feeding after the wormer and they are flying like crazy 😎

Huntsbro!! Gosh they learn quick, really trainable animals. Nice birds too, love the tame ones. Wonder if they'd pick up on you using simple verbal reinforcement (good birds etc), it looks like Thunder might know his name which is pretty cool when you haven't necessarily trained for it. Might give you an edge for the racing if you work their brains? Dunno!

Looking like you may have to force them up. Try boxing them and take them to the other side of the property so they have to fly. I’ve had stubborn young birds to.
Just a suggestion if you have a bamboo post with a black cloth tied to the end you can control their flying time as you wave around....

I had two racer pigeon, the female was shorter then high flyers and the male was quite larger then beefcake and he sounded so cracking and they also had big kids like thunder, the male kid was little larger then average pigeon and the female was like average pigeon and they bred and also had baby’s but the baby’s did not last long they did not feed them well so I gave them away. Which one of your pigeon makes baby sound

They still have to master the art of landing. If they train everyday they will get better. Its better to paint the roof red so its visible from the high altitude for the birds. So they dont get lost like the black one who overflew
Get a super long stick with a red flag/clothe to wave around in order to make them fly. It does in a way spook them because it looks like a hawk to them but it definitely makes them fly. Never had issues with them getting too spooked that they dont return but thats only coming from my experience.

Ok you can fix the problem when they land on ground the thing why landing on ground it’s all about looking food so what you do feed them on loft some time at top they will learn and fix the problem best of luck mate they doing better good job

Maney I’ve done this tactic after a week put all the young birds in the crate and bring them farther away from the coop on your property like maybe the line let them go and they will fly for a couple more mins don’t bring the splits except the good one . Good lucj

Mr.Maney, Your feed is too heavy with corn and peas .you need to add more wheat and Barley to your feed mix .Then use a large baking sheet pan and hand feed them.Watch and see when you see three birds drinking water then stop feeding. In using this method you will immediately see your pigeons flying !! . By using this method they won't be too heavy to fly and they'll want to fly like a racing pigeon. More wheat and barley in the feed is the trick. Make a tall flag pole with a red flag and flag them up. then lean the flag pole against the loft. Remember, don't hold it in your hand you don't want your Birds to be scared of you, But you want them to be scared of the flag pole. They will stay up and fly longer. Then you can take the flag pole down when you want the Birds to trap in . And when you start training you can feed the birds a little more. Believe me once you try it. You'll always use this method!!
