Russ Landeau made this for Nicaragua, but Mark Burnett rejected it. Furious, he decided to extend the Borneo theme and use it for the season, instead. Now, because of his feelings, the intros aren't shown anymore, and the full-length ones on the Internet are almost never truly unique. Most of them even borrowed parts from Micronesia's ending. Worlds Apart took bits from other seasons, too, in the same way All-Stars did, except with parts from Heroes vs. Villains and China, for example.

Did you watched that season, she was being rude to almost everyone and she is a quitter (contestants who quit are trash in my opinion) From this seson i would consider Jane as strong woman, Brenda as the smart strategic player, Holly was kinda team mom archtype and Alina was really kind and free spirit person which want to be friend with.

But I can see why they didn't, too many musical instruments going on at the same time and not as harmonious, like China where you can distinguish the original Ancient Theme and the background chinese chanting and music, I think it's the percussion in the background, with just the wind instruments and guitar it would be fine I guess.
Okay, maybe Nicaragua wasn't the best season. But I would have loved to hear this opening instead of Borneo's theme again. What were they thinking reusing it?

It's from Spain, which is the country the conquistadors claimed Nicaragua for, and later colonized. That's why there's a heavy Spanish influence in this song.

For its really most average season. It had some flaws but it had really decent cast, likeable winner and some memorable moments. 100% Better than Thailand, South Pacific, One World, Island of the Idols and New Era.
What I don’t understand is why this one wasn’t approved. This is one of the best themes I’ve heard from the entire show
