- Kurama Link Naruto was first introduced in Storm Revolution and back then he was very interesting indeed. His design always made it feel like he was already in his awakened state whenever you were using him. He was a pleasant surprise as a character and he is pretty balanced in my opinion. He doesn’t have anything too crazy, but can still be deadly with the right neutral and combo routes. Thanks to @Project_Persona and @TheGabrielv1312 I will showcase this character to you all, since I've been requested to play with him.
This version of Naruto has a rasengan (in the form of a tailed beast bomb) and a tailed beast bomb as his two primary jutsus. His rasengan has some pretty nice functions to it and the fact that you can combo right after it makes it a nice jutsu to use. You can also cancel this move into a grab or parry, which makes it a nice 50/50 tool if used in the right scenario. His tailed beast bomb has decent range and does nice chip damage on guard. You can also use this whenever you hit your opponent to the ground during an air battle to have a guaranteed hit on them. Both jutsus have slight armor on start-up which makes them relatively safe when being used.
The thing that has always been a tricky part about this Naruto is his neutral combo. Most of the time Naruto falls out of his own combo which gives the opponent the chance to block mid-combo. This ofcourse is not ideal in any situation and might leave you in a bad spot if you are trying to make a last second comeback. Nevertheless, hitting this Naruto his optimal combo routes is super satisfying though. You will have endless cutscenes if you do it right and it gives a real feel back to the anime itself. Definitely a decent character and worth checking out.

Also this is probably my favorite naruto to use, his attacks are so smooth and also flashy, both his jutsu are useful so that’s a nice bonus.
While his ultimate is a little boring (though I think this is a naruto problem in general aside from baryon mode naruto) he is the only naruto to have the “Gentle Phoenix Spiralling Twin Lion Fists” team ultimate with hinata so that’s another reason I like playing him.
Also when you troll spinned him back it was kinda funny lol

Having an unlimited amount of them is such a great change in Connections. Gives them more utilities overall in everyones gameplan. I 100% agree with you that he is a flashy Naruto and his attacks are just so stunning. Unfortunately the Naruto ultimate treatment is carried over to him😭. The visuals on the one with Hinata is amazing though and luckily she is a busted assist in this game, so we will see it more often when people start using KL Naruto.

I agree with you that he is definitely slept on! He has great tools and his combo cancels are also pretty good. Picking up people from the ground with his rasengan is just so satisfying🙌🙌. You were on to something with him😉.

That's a tough one! They all have their strong points and weaknesses for sure, but if I really have to choose... I'd probably have to go for The Last. Baryon, SO6P and KCM are all nice characters, but they kind of lack the means to apply that 'extra' pressure on both ends (point and support) to your opponent. For example SO6P Naruto is an amazing assist and saves you pretty much in any air battle situation, but he is kind of weak as a point character. Baryon is the other way around. Great point, very weak assist. KCM could've been one of the best since his speed/neutral is amazing, but his assists are way too linear and his jutsus are easy to dodge most of the times. The Last pretty much got both (assist/point) covered and his neutral is considered to be one of the best ngl🙌🙏. Also having an air rasengan helps a lot during air battles.

Kurama Link Mode is most likely the WORST Naruto version imo. Pros and Cons:
- PROS: Can cancel his Jutsu 1 (Mini TB Bomb Rasengan) into Jutsu 2 with any hit , Jutsu 2 can catch opponents off guard with its mid-range beam shot atk
CONS:
- No combo hits that allow for Infinite combo reset (as far as I know)
- Neither Jutsu allows him to follow up w/ atk into Super
- Can't continue any air attack into ground combos
- Slow grab
That's a valid opinion. If you compare him to some of the other versions like The Last, TBB and Baryon Naruto he is lacking in a lot of departments. The no infinite is a big thing that is unfortunate, but we have to deal with it somehow. You can end an air attack with his 2nd jutsu though. It's a guaranteed hit on grounded opponents, so that kind of makes up for it. The grab does have decent range and a big hit box, so that's something positive about it. Nevertheless, the other versions do have many more strengths and I completely understand your take!🙏 Great observation with the pros and cons list, let's all of us learn more about the character!💪😉
@@BlackSageHD Yea, I did learn a few things from your video about KL mode w/ him, which I glad I realized with your help. The air combo into Jutsu 2 and you can air-dash after his Rasengan for a couple of air attacks and then end with Jutsu 2 if they have no subs. He basically gets really high dmg with his special Jutsus's, but just has no way to extend for bigger Super dmg.
@@Darisuke I'm glad that I helped on that part a little bit and let you see some new combo routes🙏. You are right though. He is basically a high damage character with not a lot of gimmicks. It's mostly just finding out the optimal combo routes with him and he doesn't have a lot of them. I'm just happy that he can hang in the damage department with the other characters, but his neutral is not comparable to the rest. Now if he could extend into a super... 👀 then he would've been one of the better versions of Naruto in the game😅.
@@BlackSageHD I wish he still had his Tilt from Storm 4, where he could teleport behind the opponent at any time. That would make him a bit better for sure
@@Darisuke 100% agree with you! The removal of tilts really hit a lot of characters hard😭. Wish they implemented that move atleast in another way, but oh well we have to deal with it in some way 😔.

Understandable ngl. Not a lot of people use the new characters for some reason😪. Nowadays I rarely see a Kawaki or Boruto player. They always fall back on all of the other characters they are comfortable with from previous Storm games without testing the new😭.
