Remember when music videos told a definite story? Man, I miss those days...This video (and song) was always one of my favorites. It says a lot in only five minutes.
Back in 2003 living alone thru High School for familiar reasons, almost at the verge of falling apart for a love that never happened and trying to stay away from the demons of drugs, temptations and what not, mad depressed and sad, I remember it was 4 am on a Thursday (I was watching something called "120 minutos" on MTV latino) and I couldn't sleep thinking if I should continue with the next step or not, suddenly this song and video came out on the telly and it basically saved me....
Where do we go? Nobody knows I've got to say I'm on my way down God give me style and give me grace God put a smile upon my face Where do we go to draw the line? This is Coldplay back when they wrote honest music. Now they’re mostly concerned with how they’re doing in the charts. They were cool back during this era
One of the most underrated Coldplay songs and an absolute favourite of mine. They played it at the Melbourne concert yesterday (2nd Nov 2024), never expected them to and it was amazing!
Devika Nair I feel you. They haven't played GPASUYF since 2017 and now Colplay performed it in their first World Tour 2022 concert in18 March, and was amazing. The best song ever, really fortunate.
This song is amazing, i don't know what is going on my heart but since i started listening to it my life has completely changed... i know the song is quite old but it just melts my heart, i adore the way Chris sings this song, the whole rhythm is just out of this world.... i will be the happiest woman at your concert in Bogotá, next April 13, see you at the front line my dear and dearest musicians who let the world know the revolutionary power of music!!! You definitely put a smile on my face!! I love you Coldplay
This legendary song may be underrated here at youtube but back in 2003 MTV literally knows how much potential this song had. thatswhy MTV played it NON STOP. Great music , Great lyrics , Genius Video.
@Jules Gilmour This song and AROBTTH was recorded way before 2+2=5. So that was definitely sarcasm. They don’t even sound alike anyway. Music video came out in October 2003 though.
I'm not super into Coldplay, especially because I don't really fancy their latest songs, but I still enjoy some of their older classics, like "Yellow", "Fix You", "The Scientist" and "Viva La Vida". I had never heard this song until now and I think it's way better than any other Coldplay song I've ever heard.

It doesn't matter how far you get in live, what matters is the legacy you leave behind cause everybody dies but some stay in our minds and heart forever, memories that never fade
I have no words. Just absolute love. I love this band for singing and playing their hearts out every time. The most beautiful music to my ears.
Where do we go nobody knows?
I've gotta say I'm on my way down
God give me style and give me grace
God put a smile upon my face
Where do we go to draw the line?
I've gotta say I wasted all your time, (oh honey honey)
Where do I go to fall from grace?
God put a smile upon your face, yeah LOS AMO COLDPLAY
you stink
why does chris look so good on the close ups !!!
Juana Gutierrez because he is

Juana Gutierrez Because he is Chris Martin. 😍
thomas riner o............k
Because he's british
Remember when music videos told a definite story? Man, I miss those days...This video (and song) was always one of my favorites. It says a lot in only five minutes.
I'm not a huge Coldplay fan, but this song is great. Easily their best that I've heard.
Same here I can’t stand them but this track is amazing
@@kaykaysatc9703 can't stand them? damn that's debatable because i'm obsessed with them lol
Same here. They're not my type of music but this song is really great.
@@kaykaysatc9703 exactly the same
It’s because they sound like Radiohead in this one. 😉
Back in 2003 living alone thru High School for familiar reasons, almost at the verge of falling apart for a love that never happened and trying to stay away from the demons of drugs, temptations and what not, mad depressed and sad, I remember it was 4 am on a Thursday (I was watching something called "120 minutos" on MTV latino) and I couldn't sleep thinking if I should continue with the next step or not, suddenly this song and video came out on the telly and it basically saved me....
sakaralakabar
hey whats the matter with drugs and temptations relax
Bravo
Wow I'm 15 years old now and I can completely identify myself with this what you say.
coldplay's first two albums were absolutely perfect
This song and "Yes" are to of the most under appreciated songs
Reza Michael Agreed
I would add Shiver to the list. that song is amazing
I like all their styles, even th new ones, but the first ones are best >w
Every single song on their albums, a blood to the head and parachutes is under appreciated
ikr

Ah, when you work it out I'm worse than you
Yeah, when you work it out I wanted to
Ah, when you work out where to draw the line
Your guess is as good as mine
Where do we go? Nobody knows
Don't ever say you're on your way down when
God gave you style and gave you grace

This is Coldplay back when they wrote honest music. Now they’re mostly concerned with how they’re doing in the charts. They were cool back during this era
Coloratura, and the entirety of Kaleidoscope EP sounds like og Coldplay btw.

i guess parts of ahfod and mots feel a bit commercial but gs has the melancholy feel of parachutes and el is like the experimental vlv part ii
By far Coldplay's best song ever.
Viserys Targaryen, first of his name, King of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm
King Viserys! what are you doing here 😮🤣 Love this song 💙
Great song and incredible video. Love Paddy Considine too. Great actor. He really sells this situation. Imagine it.
A decade ago, this song saved me when I was down and on the verge of losing it.
I honestly feel like “daylight” by Coldplay is underrated
0:01 Just with that solo he won my heart.
I would never understand how Coldplay changed from this peak music direction.
Uhhhh, they still peak man. I mean Coloratura is a masterpiece

Listened to all of Coldplay's hits today, and this one didn't age at all! Super fresh! Love Chris Martin more than ever.
One of the most underrated Coldplay songs and an absolute favourite of mine. They played it at the Melbourne concert yesterday (2nd Nov 2024), never expected them to and it was amazing!
I never would have imagined that I would hear this song live. Can't stop thanking my fortune.
Lucky you!
Devika Nair I feel you. They haven't played GPASUYF since 2017 and now Colplay performed it in their first World Tour 2022 concert in18 March, and was amazing. The best song ever, really fortunate.
this was on the radio yesterday i screamed!!
All Coldplay is the best, I don’t want my band doing the same music all the time, roll on the Coldplay journey

Great music , Great lyrics , Genius Video.
this sample/riff is from the music "Canto de Ossanha" by Baden Powell and Vinícius de Morais.
Wow!! Nice hearing, haha! That's another reason for enjoying Cold Play, Baden Powell and Vinicius.
I honestly think every Coldplay song is spectacular. All of their songs are amazing in their own way. 🤍
This is one of the most underrated coldplay songs
When coldplay was coldplay. I miss their old style. When this came out I was a primary school student😊
King Viserys of the house Targaryen!
Long live the king!
I get some Radiohead-Just music video vibes from this video. I love this song
Haha yeah me too.. although Chris said this song was him ripping off 2+2=5
@Jules Gilmour This song and AROBTTH was recorded way before 2+2=5. So that was definitely sarcasm. They don’t even sound alike anyway.
Music video came out in October 2003 though.
@@USMCLP yeah thought so too..it sounds nothing like 2+2=5.. Chris was not shy of coming across as a fanboy back then haha.
Its because both video were created by the same film director
I find the vibe very similar to Man of War for some reason
¡Pedazo de canción! 1er y 2do disco: la mejor época de Coldplay.
Muy Muy Muy Super Mega Increíble
I'm not super into Coldplay, especially because I don't really fancy their latest songs, but I still enjoy some of their older classics, like "Yellow", "Fix You", "The Scientist" and "Viva La Vida". I had never heard this song until now and I think it's way better than any other Coldplay song I've ever heard.

"Your message is good as mine"
Smart job, Chris, smart job.
Uncle Podger "your guess" is as good as mine. Because you're trying to guess and work out where to draw the line. So your guess is as good as mine.
Definitely one of their best tracks from that early album. Absolute banger!
defiantly have a smile on my face when this is playing
Creepy, cool! When old music videos are more interesting than modern horror movies!
King Viserys sure had a great career as a businessman before taking the Iron Throne.
I prefer this Coldplay , raw, pure just them b4 being big!
Back when music videos were thought provoking and had a message
As a Christian dentist, you know this one pirs a smile upon my face. Just got done doing a couple fillings to it on my local am radio! Gotta love it!
Nice😁

Love Paddy Considine! Cool as actor! Awesome vid!
One of the best Coldplay songs without a doubt!!!
One of the things I love most about Coldplay is the alternative tunings they use in their songs. It makes their songs stand out from all the rest!
Can't believe its 20 years already, an incredible song and the video always really stuck with me, watching it on Q back in the day. One of their best
Goodness these lyrics are so classy. Quality lyrics, man, are what half the world lacks right now :)
Yes he did. He has given me the biggest smile ever..
