Queen of her Scene, Queen of hi- fidelity vinyl. In person her pipes and vibe could be mesmerizing. Powerful warmth and authentic in an often BS filled industry.
Saw her at the Allentown Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania in the early 70's. Her voice filled that whole stadium. She's a National Treasure for sure. Can sing any kind of music.
One of my favorite songs by Linda. I miss hearing new music from her, but oh so grateful for what she has given us. I believe that's Cissy Houston singing back-up.
No, it is Sherlie Matthews and Clydie King. They were also singing backup on the other song ("You're No Good") that Linda played on this episode of the Midnight Special.
A sign of my time. So freaking glad I got to see a 73-74ish solo Neil Young concert.... with an opening act ...LINDA RONSTADT. Where do you go from there? THANK YOU, LINDA!!! And Mr. Young, on the heels of "Harvest."
@@lnl3237 : The really cool part of that evening: While I had heard the name before, I had absolutely no idea who she was until she sang the first song that I recognized. A very good concert instantly turned into a great one. And yeah, I too, still marvel at old videos.
@@jeffphakenewz8556 Cool indeed! Little did you know-or she, for that matter-what lay ahead. I was just a casual listener to music in my teens/twenties. Spun vinyls on my turntable and listened to the radio on the way to the beach. Saw the documentary based on her memoir (Well worth a read) and did a deep dive of her catalog during all the isolation of Covid. Ashamed to say that I did not know she and James Taylor sung back-up on "Heart of Gold." Thanks again for sharing your memory of an early Linda.
Only Linda Ronstadt could stand there in creased ironed blue jeans & an off the rack blouse & melt your heart with a song. Beyoncé & Taylor Swift couldn’t do that. 🎶🎵💕
Could have easily been the female Elvis Presley and made a bunch of movies like Elvis! And I'll bet there were a lot of producers begging her to do just that! I mean in a tasteful way that told told a story like a musical, like Pirates of Pensance. Linda could have easily matched Elvis in movie ticket sales. Kind of like those Tammy movies with Sandra Dee and Debbie Reynolds. Or even Audrey Hepburn type stuff.
Linda Ronstadt is one of the greatest female singers of all time.
Thanks Captain Obvious 😉
She is one the best SINGERS of all time.
She is the best.
that is an understatement
Remarkable pipes. Heartbreak and strength rarely combine so authentically.
A TOTAL PACKAGE! Beauty, voice, stage precense, charisma, soul, you name it!

Amazing singers! I wish they made an album together!
I believe they were backup singers for Barbra Streisand in her film "a star is born"
Linda is the real deal, authentic pure talent one of the greatest voices of a generation ❤🎶
Back when music was as good as it gets. What a time it was. Where is the music equal to this today? Where are the artists? 😕
Taylor.Swift for one and Myle Cyrus
@@kevinkwiatkowski7197: Yeah, right. Good one! 😂🤣😂
What a voice! What a beauty!
Purest surest voice ever, a gft from heaven.
I'm never going to get over Linda, never!

Jeff, you were so blessed. Never saw her live so I cherish these videos. Still not the same...

No other words to write here, except "luscious".
Beautiful... she has a powerful voice!
Thank you for sharing! 💖
I’ve had a crush on her since I was a boy. What a voice.
This and the prison concert are Linda's two most emotional performances of "Love Has No Pride".
yes agree
The Midnight Special, Linda is great, she always made a statement in the songs.

Her voice was a gift from God to the world. How else to explain it?

Linda Ronstadt is who god created when he needed to smile.
😁💕😍
@@MichaelSSmith-hs5pw He certainly made us smile upon hearing her sing.

👌👍💕🎶
best Eric Kaz song ever and one of Linda’s top three songs
Libby Titus AND Eric Kas wrote it.
@@MichaelSSmith-hs5pw 👍🏻
Gorgeous important pipes.
Gorgeous as always!
I’ve had many dreams about this lady
Linda. ⭐💗
Outstanding! The singers and musicians, top notch.
Great video! All the women doing some beautiful vocals!
Never heard this one before. Very nice.
Try listening to Bonnie Raitt's version.
OMG! Awesome video! Thanks for posting!
You bet!
Uno dei miei pezzi preferiti❤
nice video mate
And she is fun to listen to....
Is Skunk Baxter playing steel guitar? It is the the same shirt he was wearing while playing bongos on You're No Good on this Midnight Special episode.
Was there a wrong note in any of that? I didn't hear any. She went through some tricky chord variations without a glitch.
Wore the black off the keys ...nice
Brilliant....written by Libby Titus and Eric Kaz...almost as good as Bonnie 🖤
Both equally good.
Such a babe!

Probably Dan Dugmore
Skunk Baxter
Simply stunning
