    It would be better if I know Joe many stitches there to be on each row so far I can't get past row 6 the increase don't match up on the rows 6'7'8

    This is just great! I'm going to try to adapt it to make a baby hat. Also I think I would use wire in the brim instead of cardboard, that way you can shape the brim and make it kind a wavy looking. This is truly an awesome job tho! The best one I could find online!!! Thank you for sharing.

      Oh yes you are most welcome. I think the wire is a great idea. Will have to be careful putting wire in a baby hat though. Thank you for your feedback

    You have a shadow on your already dark yarn. Cardboard does not lend itself to wash ability, to say the least. I am looking at substituting stiff interfacing or a plastic grid material for the brim.

    in America its the front stitch and not the back stitch you need to go into to have that seam on in the inside of the hat. also it would help if you could give us stitch count after each row. so we know we are on track. thank you very much for sharing

      Debbie Johnson ahhh I was wondering why? The backstitch on mine was on the outside!!?
      I thought maybe I missed it if you said turn the hat inside out! To get that noticeable seam!
      Thanks for that. It's a good thing I didn't go too far in making it! But, still had to do the row over! 😳☺️👍🏼

    Currently making this but after working row 15 until the width was right, the beginning of my row, that should be the TBRL for the top lip is in the middle back of my hat, not on the side like in the video😩 so frustrating! I guess I’m gonna just have to wing it from here😭

    I would like a stitch count for the end of each round. I am not finding the rows to line up very well. I have 4, 4, 6, 6, 8, 10, 14, 18, 22, 24 so far I think? but also not sure if that 24 should be 26 for an increase of 4 and not just 2?

    This is wonderful! Do you have a written pattern by any chance? I'd purchase it if so. I do like patterns with videos as sometimes the pattern is not really clear to me. I'd like to make these for my nephews. I was wondering if doubling the yarn would give it more structure? The brim means it cannot be washed, which with little ones is not idea. Maybe a double yarn here would give it more stiffness or something.....hmmmm

    This looks so cool, but I am not able to wrap my head around the math. In row 6 things get wonky, and stitch counts don’t match the indicated stitches. Clearly a muggle problem over here.

    • @Woodsandwaterthrift
      @Woodsandwaterthrift 10 місяців тому

      I’m having the same problem! Row 5 I end with 8 stitches then row 6 I end with 10 stitches but I don’t think this is correct …. If we are supposed to end row 5,6,7,8 with the increase my row 6 ends with a normal dc ( I wish there was a pattern written out so I could see what my stitch count is row by row! ) 😭 edit** i followed suit, 6,7,8,9 were “wonky” feeling. but I just finished row 13 everything is lining up exactly how hers is in video.
