Let's show some love for these female athletes. I watched the final collegiate game last year with Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, it turned out to be a great game. Here's hoping the league expands and offer more opportunities for the college and pro women athletes of basketball.

WNBA contracting is expiring at the end of this season, so negotiating have been going on behind the scene for several things. Angel is correct on everything she says. Raven is going to be great next year and the lady gamecocks have a chance 3peat and 4peat. I think the championship next year will be between South Carolina end UCONN or USC. A'ja is going to be one of the all time WNBA greats. The skills of these ladies has improved tremendously. I have been watching ladies basketball going back before Cheryl Miller (G.O.A.T. in my opinion). ❤❤❤❤

I hear you and think JuJu is great but it truly has been proven over and over again that being a great college player doesn't guarantee a pro spot, let alone being a star and sadly, the W doesn't have extra roster spots for development. Every single player talks about speed, physically and mental game because basically every player in the W was a version of them a few years ago...They were great college players but now in the pros, they are bigger, faster, stronger and more experienced. I suspect it will come at some point, but the ladies really need to get their degrees bc as with all athletes aspiring to go pro, there are no guarantees.

Angel is not even a top ten college player. JuJu Watkins is a generational player. She's already averaging 27 ppg, 7, and 5, 2.4 steals and 1.4 blocks. And here's the kicker she's doing it on 47% from 3 which is insane cause she shoots ALOT of them. And over 50% from 2. She's got a 60% true shooting percentage at 27 ppg and USC is undefeated and ranked 6th. Juju Watkins is the person better than Angel and probably is already better than even Catlin Clarke. JuJu needs to be recognized for what she Is.

I do think CC will be okay, she needs to get stronger, and develop some moves or counter moves to get her shot off, because she’s not very quick or athletic.

Because the so-called best young players aren’t as good as you think. Also, you have to realize many star college players are literally going to a team in the W with 4-5 players minimum who were just considered collegiate stars within the last 5 years. Not to mention vets who still provide value and/or Elite themselves.
The W isn’t a watered down league when it comes to talent. Having polished games, specific skill sets matter a lot in the W due to how few teams there are and spots there are. Because of that teams are less likely to look for the next superstar opposed to a player who pushes them to championship contention who just may be someone who’s a great defender who doesn’t need the ball. Look at Las Vegas. Their core are all in their prime. They don’t need another superstar they need role players that plug in defensively, can hit the 3, make the right play. A lot of times the change from being the #1 player all their life and throughout college to being a player on an established team who now comes off the bench for 10-15 minutes is the biggest thing for incoming Rookies. It’s hard for them to accept and/or figure out their role when being THE SCORER is no longer the need or the option
