I remember in the early 1980s, when I was around 12 or 13, the TV show 'Ripley's Believe It or Not' (here in North America) did a segment on the silvesterchlausen. I'm not Swiss but for some reason I was fascinated by this. If I ever win the lottery, one of my bucket items is to visit Switzerland to go witness this firsthand. I love the ones that dress up covered in tree branches with the huge cowbells, the Wüeschte I think they are called.
Such format of video is cool. And I can also understand that it is interesting as you spend time discovering culture from accross the globe that you come to your home country and discover also some new things you had never seen before.
