The ego is a function of the body mind complex, it doesn’t need to be gotten rid of just seen that it’s not you. It’s harmless, only harmful when we think it’s is ultimately.
I see the ego as a useful tool that is required to engage with others. When not engaging with others, I set it aside and reside as neutral awareness. When you over utilise the ego function, I'd describe it as being like a "type cast" actor that only ever plays the same old roles in all the movies. It is futile to try and get rid of the ego....whilst in a human body, it is what makes you human. So relax, have fun with it, but don't think for a minute that it is the real you.
Well said! It’s just a part of this body mind complex that appropriates all actions to itself and makes up a story about life. It’s harmless, only harmful when we truly believe it’s what we are. Doesn’t and can’t be “ killed” Sri Rama Krishna talked about going from the unripe to ripe ego, that’s all we need to do.
@@PracticalDailyWisdom Totally on your page with what you are outlining in your series of superb videos. If I can sum it all up in this short phrase....all this is, is a case of mistaken identity. Once you "realise" this, everything makes sense. It's nothing miraculous...no fireworks, no special gifts, you don't start glowing or any other strangeness. You just carry on "chopping wood and carrying water" with a knowing that you are awareness, hidden in plain site :) It's brilliant in its simplicity.
So true, teachers from the east have said this. Westerners have made all these teachings so mystical, out of reach, exotic etc. If you’ve solved the problem of suffering ( not pain) the teachings have worked. Your head may or may not start glowing and you may or may not start levitating lol But that’s not the point of it all. End your suffering here and now that’s all they really want us to do.
Your intentions are noted and appreciated mate. I enjoy your videos. 🙏
Glad you like them!
Who wants to get rid of the ego?

It’s imperative if you seek higher consciousness. If you are not interested-don’t concern yourself.
