I love the detail of the lore of Mental Omega. Feels so realistic and no one is going god-almighty-seeing-all mode. For example, even till the end the Soviets have no idea what a Dybbuk Hive is because it is their first time seeing this thing in Moscow.

Basically this whole mission is to keep the Soviets distracted from the "real" problem. Yuri made it sure that the soviets really had to crack everything before reaching him; regardless if he survives or not.
This is going to be a bit controversial but...I don't think the MO Soviet Campaign is great. It's more or less a relentless beatdown from start to end of 'Man, you guys suck' (Even when they're winning they're still nothing but endless backstabbing) without ever really getting a solid 'Yeah, this is why you should care for the faction'. Even when you win, you often lose with no ability to influence it. They don't really get to go out on a high note like the Allies (Who at least get to actively mess with Yuri's schedule/be the reason the new faction even survives to be a faction), with even Yuri's death being sidelined to 'Yeah but even in death he beats you' and even their specialist anti-mind control options in the cyborgs falling to 'Turns out Yuri had a perfect counter for that too'. Allied heroes tend to go out in glorious last stands or heroic sacrifices, Soviet heroes tended to die much more pathetic or mercy killed deaths. I like Mental Omega overall but I feel like the Soviet Campaign is a weak point for it.
I personally go with Allied, Epsilon or Foehn in ACT 2 because of the three faction campaign are relatable to Mental Omega unlike the Soviets, they are completely unaware of Yuri's Tower by he went back to Moscow to lure the Soviets so they will only go after him not in Mental Omega Device.

I find it funny that's how you describe the Soviet Campaign in the first part, because for me that's far more applicable to the Allied Campaign, considering they spend the entirety of Act 1 getting their faces smashed in by the Soviets and Psicorps, then fail at the end of Act 2 again after all the effort they put in. You win mission after mission, but you keep losing the war because the Soviets are just better than you and you suck. All that Chrono, Laser and Cryo tech? Doesn't mean shit, Soviet power supreme. You liberate Chicago? MIDAS razes it to rubble, taking too many of your standing forces with it for you to hold the US against the Soviets. You fight tooth and nail to protect the Chronosphere? Another MIDAS and it's gone too. Enjoy being crammed into the UK while the Soviets dominate most of the world. In fact, I'd say the Soviets were the ones who got to go out on a high note. They got to cheer and parade around thinking they won, after all their sacrifices, only to fall to the Mental Omega and Psychic Beacon/Amplifier network in the middle of their celebrations. What do the Allies get, meanwhile? They get to fail all over again, get slaughtered perilously close to the last man, watch all their plans fall apart and their best weapon get sabotaged because some nutty psychic bint they'd never even heard of before arrives and cleans house while they're within SPITTING DISTANCE of victory.
Dark and Grim... In my opinion- it's like another Command and Conquer Alternate Universe wherein Yuri Prime was able to rewrite the past events to his favor again after surviving that botched Chrono Shift attempt he had done... And how ironic- defeating those seven Iron Curtains is a nod to the last Allied Operation in Red Alert 3- The Battle of Leningrad, The Moon Shall Never Have Them
Love how the Soviet liberates its own capital: by razing down large swaths of the place and firing nukes liberally. Yea I know the Soviet is all about brutal force but it's harsh even by their standard.
You know guys, for a moment I wondered... Could you imagine a Dawn of War game with an Imperial Guard campaign where you lead a Valhallan regiment into assaulting a Tzeentch cult while supported by Iron Hands deep strike teams? This is how it should have looked instead of Dawn of War 3... The MOBA genre reduced RTS to a shadow of its former self, they couldn't understand they didn't need to reinvent the wheel, it was all there, a polished gameplay style, the assets, no studio could understand we are already a culture with a set of traditions and values, yet, here we are seeing our old factions returned to life and expanded, like friends after so many years, by the end of the day the story could continue this time not because big investment and multimillion dollar companies, but by the passion and skill of the fandom. Sometimes, just some times, the heart can truly do what no amount of corporation assets could manage.

You can't use Yuri tech, but you make up for it with multiple Con Yards and stolen tech units like Grumbles and Apocs. Besides, outside of Viruses, Adepts and maybe Dybbucks in some situations, there isn't much Yuri can offer that a near full Soviet tree can't handle.

This mission is one of the, if not the most boring in the mo maps pack. Instead of seeing the Yuri himself on the battlefield, like a super unlimited mind control half screen ra2 like everything a short cameo map wiping unit, they have gone to the stupid invisible spawning iron curtain devices and flying invisible units. Yawn, the most rushed and boring soviet ending i could imagine. Shame. I dont want to hear or play it ever again.

You cannot capture any epsilon buildings here, but you are given with a lot of MCVs
