I can understand some would prefer to get certain contents like this early, but at the same time a later date( 1 week as an example) would give us some time to get familiar with the newest contents and story from this expansion. So in my opinion, a later date would be my prefer option( again just my opinion).

I know it’s not ideal but I like that they are dialing in to make this the hardest raid they have ever made. I mean this is The Witness raid here. You know how anticlimactic and embarrassing it would be if we were given 10 days and a team beats the witness in an hour? Plus this shouldn’t be an easier raid for newer players to try out but for the players who have stuck it out for the past 10 years.

I just hope the mechanics of the raid aren’t too crazy.. enemy density hopefully a lot, just don’t make me try and memorize 30 symbols in a specific order, while standing on a plate, passing a buff to people with a 15 second timer. I’m too old for that shit. Just give me a war!
To be honest I think the 3 days was a way to limit participation having done several day ones the day ones with the three days tended to not have as many server overload issues so that we don’t have another vow incident

Is there any specific info on how the pantheon boss gauntlet will play out? Is it basically just tp from boss room to next boss room doing the encounters the way you normaly do them, or are there changes to the bossfights themselves?
Now I just need them to fix the portals not showing up on the boss rounds when you're in the pyramid
I sincerely hope they change the raid release date to the 14the of june. They world first party was just so much better visited for the raids that had one reset inbetween DLC release and raid release date.
For the raid I believe bungie at one paint said they’re adding a feature in TFS where everyone gets “boosted” to the power level of the player on your fire team with the highest power level maybe that can help with not having enough time before raid race
Indeed, everyone is dragged up on power to 5 under the hosts light level, given that you're lower than that.
It would be nice to update the exotic ingrams with some of D1 exotics no longer available.
The first two days I hit 49 three times. Kept wiping on wave 50. But for some reason people keep leaving at wave 10 over and over again
The reason for the quick launch is due to the first episode of the first act. It can only start AFTER completing the main story which they already stated can only happen AFTER the raid launch. The last mission is after the raid where a 12 man mission will launch to finally defeat the witness and go into episode 1 act 1
There definitely needs to be wave number somewhere on the screen so people are better able to see which wave they are on i joined several groups and couldn't decide if i wanted to spend scraps because i didn't know which round we were on until the wave changed

@@Uncle_BW "Very clear" is subjective. I know it's there and I still miss it from time to time. I think pulling up the ghost or just constantly showing the wave would be nice.

I think the vendor reset thing is the way it's programmed and also the armor chests programming.
yeah i was thinking of doing day 1, but only 3 days is not nearly enough time for me to prep. honestly bungie has been good implementing community feedback with the timegating of weapons etc and i really hope they do that again
Easy O slaughter fix, red border guarantee at wave 50. Use brave tokens to be able to purchase one of your choosing when the chest drops on wave 50. Increase brave coins the higher wave you go.
Them only giving us 3 days to prep also sucks for the people who have to work during the week. I can only play for a max 2-3 hours a day. It's not enough time.
I think based on them giving everyone pinnacle gear and changing a lot of playlists now set difficulty of enemies are +x light or y levels lower, that they are going to get rid of light level altogether

I'm pretty sure they mentioned that there will be a mission that is unlocked after the raid is completed, which explains why the raid is so soon after the update drops
Yeah I believe it's the final mission of the campaign. I'm guessing they don't want to time gate the campaign for a whole week

Interesting changes to onslought. Sadly the matchmaking version still just goes to Wave 10 and only yields one weapon anyway
The raid being three days after the expansion is great for me because I was going to be out of town the week after the final shape release
I think they're releasing the raid super early because it has major story implications for the campaign itself I've read Leaks saying the raid leads into the final mission of the story so. Could be wrong
Im not too much minding the day 3 raid, its not like the witness hasnt had 3 extra months to wreak havoc. day 1 would be fine with me as it kindof makes sense lore wise. Also, adding to a hand cannon being shot 6 times as opposed to switching to a special... when prismatic drops, kinetic weapons will fill both transcendence bars. if there was ever a time to have explosive and kinetic tremors on the same weapon, its now right before kinetics are super viable in Final Shape. My question is will the explosive and tremors add more to the bars?? it should, right?

Ummmm, they have already stated that the raid itself will play an important of the final shape story itself and that the story doesn't truly end until after the raid is completed. So, you want them to further timegate the final part of the story just so a couple more people can play the raid day one? Especially since they are moving away from power levels. Maybe the raid power levels will mean a lot less then they have in past raids.
It's not just a couple more people, and you are completely forgetting how much of a shit show day 1 launch always has been in terms of servers + bugs. So essentially it's just two days. Yes, there is nothing wrong with actually enjoying the content for a bit longer and allowing casual / working players to participate!
@@lanycera there are going to be complaints of timegating the end of the story as is considering the story finishes after the raid and you want to make them wait even longer for the end of the story? Keep in mind that they have been moving away from having power levels matter and there are rumors this will be even more present in final shape. We don't know everything they are planning for final shape, just that the story continues in and after the raid. Timegating is going to be a complaint.
@@lanycera told you there was a reason for it, a very good one!!! Also, with the raod being part of the overall story for the final shape, then we will be ready for the raid by completing the campaign. They have been working on the server stability issues all year since Lightfall dropped so hopefully those will be minimal.
Don't think I'll be doing Day 1 raiding this time. Not because of the date, I can easily get raid ready, it's my clan that has issues getting ready. But more than that, I want to play Prismatic.
As for why the change... I can only assume it's because of the Episodes. Maybe Episodes are suppose to continue where the previous content ended? If that's the case, moving the raid closer makes sense since it gives players more content to play after the DLC/previous Episode is done.
Problem with onslaught for me is playing with randoms again. Even if it's normal mode 99% won't stick it till the end. Also seems that most don't understand how to play, instead of defending they go off trying to kill enemies in the next area and not keeping the health up of the adu , so the the game ends very quick

Honestly I don't think this is true, they pushed an enormous amount of hype with prismatic and the new race that's name I forgot, they don't need to force that at this point. Before the new showcase I would have agreed, not anymore though
@@huntingfighteroramara They just had the most engaged raid ever with the Lightfall raid, and it had 10 days time to prep. They've systematically throughout seasons embraced a drip feed approach, so then getting you to the penultimate part of the campaign and making you wait a week wouldn't be new ground or looked down on. The only reason to have the Raid have such a quick turn around would be because they're trying to get the players to commit to the purchase early if they want to even be in the position to raid. Because if you don't, and you have a non streaming job, there is virtually no chance that you'd be in the best position to raid.
Your comment is making the argument that "They have generated enough hype, they don't NEED to generate extra hype with this" whereas I think they NEED to generate all the hype(or rather pressure to purchase) possible and this is just more towards that goal.

They are not fixing the issue if you die before 50, it feels a major waste. There are unfair spikes in difficulty in some waves. They should not be able to spawn at your base. Many Horde modes let you restart at a failed wave.

U can do 5 sets of 10 faster than getting to wave 40. So its still not worth it

I'll admit that I prefer the raid releases later in the week myself. I don't want it so quickly after release of the expansion. It worked for D1 because the way the content was designed, but it doesn't work for D2. There should be at least 5 or 6 days minimum before the raid releases because D2 raids are around the hard powerful cap for recommended power. In D1, it was the soft power cap, so you could just do some open world activities to be mostly prepared. That doesnt work in D2 because the last 50 (60) power levels need weekly rewards, which can be farmed for a bit, but because of how many there are, you won't be able to enjoy the content. You'd be so focused rushing to get everything done for all 3 characters--assuming you're competing for world's first.
I, however, am not. So I'm perfectly fine watching the world's first chaos. 😂 But I will be attempting the 48 hrs challenge if my team wants me to.

I absolutely do note care if the last mission is tied to the raid - 3 days is madness, it's unfun and prohibits anyone to compete in Day 1 who has a life / work / school and plays more casually. There is no room for enjoying the content and preparing in a relaxed manner. And no matter what Bungie says, the first day will be server issues + bugs, so essentially it's just 2 days. It ain't it. It wasn't for Last Wish either.

People didn't like it with last wish either. It prevents working / casual players from participating, day 1 is always a shitshow (some can't even login), no one has time to figure out the meta, there's always bugs that need to be fixed - there's an endless list why 3 days after the final shape drop is a bad idea. Speeding through content is never fun or engaging.

Re: the raid in 3 days. They have said the last campaign mission won't go live until the raid is completed. The percentage of the community(48 hour crowd) that is going to be upset by only 3 days of prep is microscopic to those who want to see the story through and not spend 7-10 days on a probable cliffhanger

Why is it so important to rush into do some raid the instant it comes out. I’ve never seen people grind so hard in a game as destiny for these expansions or new seasons… it’s so crazy to me to farm bounties and all pre planning to rush through new content so fast.
