I’m 53 and have an Army retirement and a 9-5 job. I just work, workout, go home repeat. I have tried dating, but I have not been successful at all. I think I should just give all my possessions away and sell my house and go live in the Philippines. Even if I don’t meet someone in the Philippines, at least I would be in a tropical place with beaches and different cultures to experience. I mean hell if I’m gonna be alone, I might as well be alone in Paradise!

Just take advantage of the real estate opportunities in PH and move the profits into Japan, Eastern Europe, Latin America. Or reinvest some back into another PH project. But living in PH is a complete waste of time when you can afford a higher quality lifestyle in places like Japan or Turkey. PH is surprisingly expensive even though everything is low quality, slow, terrible customer service, and fake/processed food everywhere

I’m planning to move there soon. The things I don’t know about is how hard is it to get a visa. What kind of visa, will I have to leave the Philippines every few months? Can I keep my U.S. bank and credit card accounts? Will I be locked out of my accounts after 6 months? Will I have to get a Philippine bank account? All of these videos show the usual things, like how great it is, beautiful women, cost of living. But no one gets much info the details when you’re getting started.

@@Amen.22 You don't need a visa to enter the Philippines if you're American, Europian, Aussie and other countries that do not required visa..Before you go talk to your bank that you will go to the PH. I think you need to clear your credit card you can't use it there I think... You can keep extend your visa for first month then for 3 months and so on until 3 years before you go out from the PH and return back you do the same until you can apply for permanent resident visa....Just keep researching for the details...

In Canada, a lot of gr 12 honour students (kids of long time tax payers) with 90% average, even valedictorians (go ask those students) couldn't get a seat in uni as they went to foreign students who paid more tuition (a lot are degree holders in their 30s & 40s with kids - imigration scam/shortcut).
In Canada, to pursue nurse & doc in uni, a gr 12 average of 90% & 95% is required respectively. I'm forever traumatized from what governments did during Covid. Thailand, from what I understand, was much better than the Philippines. Another 'tuber mentioned that he wasn't even allowed to go to the market during covid there and his GF has to get all the food.
And if CCP makes a move on Taiwan or flexes further in the region it could get rough there. Many chances to take in life, but the rewards are there for the taking if you plan out correctly. Keep extra funds handy and if another pandemic gets released for politics, get off the Philippines as soon as you can to ride out the BS.

You always give sound advice and I bet there's so many of us guys that would and maybe could figure out the financial side to make it happen, for me it's a confidence thing. Travelling alone, to somewhere I've never been, leaving my aging mum and dad at home in the UK, and also I don't think I'm quite as adventurous and confident and easy going as you appear to be. That's the part that scares me about it. I suppose the answer is try a 30 day holiday there first right. See what I make of it and try to move around a bit a experience all I can. Thanks for the video Chad,

Also as far as cost goes going to a province city is really alot cheaper my new rent is going to be 2500 pesos or $50 usd for a 1 bedroom apartment with separate living area kitchen western bathroom and aircon and just 4km from a city mall with a cinemas

I am 40 at the end of the year, I am thinking about moving over there from Australia in a few years. My job will eventually allow me to work remote long term and the cost of living here is just ridiculous. Philippines was one place I was considering. A lot of what you're saying here speaks to me, I am living in Sydney right now and dating is just horrible, every woman hot or not all want the same guy, most women in this region have pretty much priced themselves out of the dating market entirely. And trying to get a woman still young enough to have kids over here is not just difficult it's also frowned upon. Maybe, this is the way!

@@henrikovratd9845 You live in a fantasy world and can't even understand your own writing. Here are the FACTS:
There is no "regime" in either country - people elect their government representatives.
Neither are 'Marxist' countries; Both rely on capitalist economies.
The vast majority of citizens enjoy their lives and realize that very few countries offer the advantages of living in North America.
The miserable citizens are malcontents. They don't live their language - otherwise the whiners would send their Social Security checks back and complaining families with children would pay tuition to public schools. Since that doesn't happen, they have NO credibility. (That's you, pal.)
Maybe one day you will move to the Philippines and complain about that. Many other countries will welcome you. Maybe start with Ukraine. Yemen has very low taxes. Honduras and El Salvador are in the same time zone.

My 1st trip to the Philippines was Sept 2001 to meet my soon to be wife. We were chatmates about 6 months prior. A short time in the Philippines and I too yes decided if and when I retire I will retire to the Philippines. I was here 3 times three wks each time in a span of 9 months. Yes I loved it in the Philippines. My wife came to the US 2002 and we had a daughter Sept 12 , 2002. 8 years later I found myself laid off from a 26 1/2 yr job at 57 years old. I found a part time job and that got me my full 99 weeks of unemployment. As my unemployment was about to run out I told my wife I think we need to move to the Philippines. She seemed to been happy to hear that. There we were moving to the Philippines on the 9th anniversary of my 1st trip. Our daughter is 3rd yr college at UPLB and been President's List of Scholars all semesters. Life is good. We were spending on food one week in the US what we spent for a month in the Philippines. Hi Chad. David here in southern Shikoku Japan. How’s it going? On the topic of this video, I had planned on returning to Canada 🇨🇦. I started working on my plan 2 years ago. I left Vancouver in 2011 for Japan. I’ve never returned. I sure could never afford to return and live in Vancouver now. The only place I could comfortably afford is in the subarctic 12 hours north of Vancouver with 6 months of winter. I finally decided forget it. Now my future plan is to relocate to the Philippines.
