To much gutter rappers being worshipped right now. The appreciation if real talent is lost on a certain generation.
I think branding and popularity is more important than artistry. Artistry truly comes after selling yourself as the artist nowadays. It’s really sad. Unless a song breaks thru there’s really no telling😢. People like us should keep supporting artists that get under the gutter.
She's real and honest. the industry doesn't deserve her. Not sure how much you know about the industry but its dark and perverse. And this beautiful soul doesn't need to be anywhere near it. She needs to keep her innocence and be an independent artist and own her music. Keep grinding Leah! I see this comment often about "not selling my soul". What does this mean exactly? Is it about an artist making an individual choice or the team they have who do not help to keep us grounded? Or is it something you all are not telling me because as often as I see this, no one ever elaborates.
@@LeahJeneaOfficial there are a lot of artists who get to a point where executives and producers in the industry ask them to do something they normally would be against morally. Could be sexual favors, drugs, songs about things they’d normally go against, etc. and if they get involved they are guaranteed a push to the next level. Some have been promised Grammys, record deals, and/or or hit records in exchange for these things. My understanding is it’s harder to hit it big without going through these gatekeepers that get people involved in that kind of lifestyle. I’m going based on stories I’ve seen from artists and former artists who have gone through it or declined going through it and saw what happened to their career. Hopefully you never get put in that position. I’m a long time fan since seeing you on The Four and when you were a guest on The Terrell Show. Best wishes for your career!
