    I'm obsessed with this album. After an incidental recommendation I ended up listening to it practically nonstop for weeks. It's dark without being oppressive, energetic without becoming annoying. It flows well but each song is unique. I'm looking forward to future releases!

    Probably my favourite Maidcore album thus far. Every song felt distinct instead of blending into each other. The fact half the songs could go on a Pokemon fan game OST also helps.

    Komak's body is not made for sins! After all she went through she is made for love and living a happy life, and having someone that she can come home to after a hard day of work 🥺
    (I really love the sound of this album! I always use the other one for my workout sessions, so this will be a fine addition!)

    This album was very well worth the wait! I sense your style has become even more elaborate, sometimes referring to older songs and themes too, while retaining the unmistakeably "Komak" sound and the amazing depth your music always had. All of your previous albums were great, but I think this one is my new favourite!
    Thank you for the new album, and keep making more music! I will definitely listen to it.
    (Also thanks for including "Trip to nowhere" and "Losing everything, you gain freedom" on the album, these songs mean a lot to me!)

    DUDE dont randomly introduce dissonance into a flow that has been introduced as harmonious. Look at all modern composition, look at Stravinsky look at Frank Zappa, Bartok, Davis, Shostakovich, anyone. The harmony or dissonance is established with the main theme you can't just hit me over the head with it I'm sorry

    • @komakthemaid
      @komakthemaid  5 місяців тому +1

      Why would I even watch someone write music, because I just write the way I hear myself, isn't that the miracle of creativity?

    • @konsyjes
      @konsyjes 5 місяців тому +1

      @@komakthemaid There is vision, and then there is technique. Vision tells you what to do but without technique you don't know how. If someone claims to be a writer, you would think he would read some books but then he says "I'm not a reader, OK? I'm a writer". Overall, I'd say your presentation is pretty smooth and technically accomplished. And I think claiming that one can create music without having listened to ANY examples is absurd. But my examples are not necessary - the point is that there is a reason composers of the past when experimenting with other harmonic modes introduced the type of harmony they would use with the main theme at the start. You have to let the listener know what to expect. I just mentioned them as examples but the idea stands on its own. It is just harder to explain without a common point of reference. But the short answer is NO. Of course creativity is impossible in isolation. Life does not spring in vacuum.

    • @komakthemaid
      @komakthemaid  5 місяців тому +1

      I think I still have a lot to grow, but that doesn't mean I'm going to RELY ON OTHERS. Yes, I am generally familiar with many compositions and full-fledged tracks, because my personal playlist has about 3,900 tracks, and how many have I listened to in my whole life!
      It's just that my mood has time to change very quickly while I'm writing a composition, and therefore it's much harder for me to give out the usual mood level! It's either listen to me or refuse altogether@@konsyjes

    • @konsyjes
      @konsyjes 5 місяців тому

      @@komakthemaid yeah of course with art there is always room to grow. I wouldn't want you to interrupt your flow when you are composing to do research, unless you get stuck, but now that you have released your work I want you to consider this idea, as a listener. It's not an idea that belongs to anyone, just an idea. That each composition has its rules, even if you get to set the rules - you then have to follow them. Creativity is not an infinity of choices - it is the tension between what is known and what is not known. Between choices that are open and choices that are dictated by your experience - that is what tecnique is. Like, for example, in music there are scales, only a set number of frequencies out of all possible are used. We operate within limits - it is the limits - the rules - that allow our choices to have meaning, because the audience feels the limits as well. They are like a contract between the creator and the audience. For this reason, when experienced composers want to play with dissonance, they show the listener right away that this will be a piece with dissonance, so that the listener can accept this rule. But that is just an example - the idea is internal consistency. Thank you for your work and please accept my apologies for my pretentious diatribe.

    • @yottanuclei
      @yottanuclei Місяць тому

      @@komakthemaid today's technique was yesterday's vision. Afaik you're not under pressure to be liked by anyone specific, so no reason to follow any guidelines except the ones you like and the ones you make up. Personally, I feel like your music sets a certain mood in a skillful way, which is why so many people like it. I really like it.
