You're right, my crosshair placement is pretty sloppy sometimes. I really need to be less lazy with my aiming LMAO. Thanks for the VOD review, got a lot of things to work on now!
Great analysis of this Oddball game on Recharge. I definitely learned a few things that im going to have to start incorporating into my gameplay now. Thank you player & analyst!
Thank you brother , your videos help with all advice you give. I just got back into ranked halo slowly grinding my way through gold atm and i usually fall back on your videos when i need a refresher on strategies.
So I’m a D4 player. If you are still in Gold the number one thing you need to work on is shooting and strafing. Those two things alone can get you mid platinum. Remember to aim for body first then head.
I'ma controller player, yet you opened my eyes to a lot of things I never really thought about in this game. Hugging corners too tightly. Checking corners. Keeping my reticle in a level around corners on here the enemy could potentially be instead of just flying out. I've hit onyx season 1 and 2. Just started playing again and I'm solo Quing donuts hard but I'm D6 right now. Working on getting 1600. That's the goal.
I'd like more examples on maps of how to properly pie corners. It's isn't always exactly clear the best way to do it and where to place your crosshair first (like entering control from mangler, I'd always look left first but you said to look right first).
always run the logic of closest threat first :) guy inside can see you before you cross the door. guy camping left of door can't see you till you walk in therefore he isn't the most immediate threat at that time!
Same, the way he said it makes more since bc people hit the right more often than not. If they hit both ur gonna wanna deal with the player closest to you first.
dude, it was such a good idea I had to... I immediately tried it with fret but it sounded shit haha. glad to see you're okay you're in Hawaii aren't you? staying safe?
"press the advantage" or "push" cpuld also have been said :) lots of players don't push advantages so it was good to see this player do it. Low diamonds especially have bad situational awareness to advantages.
I'll look it up because this is the first time I've heard of that term. "Pieing the corner"... Do we pie the corner with the retical or can it just be our eyes? I think of it like how teams breach buildings... wide corners and sweep etc but Halo is in wide, tall maps. I should keep my retical where enemies typically route / head level... or am I looking up down during this pie?
sweep the reticule where enemies could possibly be this applies mostly as you're entering unknown areas don't apply to every single corner in every single scenario
hey I don't know if this is the place for this question. I play on m&k and tend to lose the 1v1s. I routinely lose to their strafes. I try to match their strafe but they tend to always win. it feels like i am just kinda guessing where they gonna go because if i try to react they usually win. I feel like it forces me to not take the 1v1 cause I always lose. Not sure if there are any tips to improve that. Been frustrating cause I'm not sure what the answer is besides avoid the 1v1s cause apparently I'm really bad at that.
it may be a specific part of your aim. your advantage against controller is raw movement and acquisition strafe battles at short range will put you at a disadvantage you have to use cover and slides / thrust to pull their AA off
I can't be the only one that seems to be having trouble landing consistent 4 shot kills with the br. In halo 2 and 3 I can pretty consistently do 4 shot kills with the br but in infinite I struggle. I've tried to pin point the reasons and tried a bunch of settings but I just can't get the same knack for it, idk. Anyone else have a similar experince? I've been playing halo since og ce fwiw.
Same here but when I watch my film over not in theater but my live recording so it's showing what I really did n where I was aiming a lot comes down to your ping I've noticed my ping ranges from 40 to 110 but averages around 60 n sometimes I can line up 3 perfect body shots followed by a perfect 4th headshot and it on registers 2 maybe 3 of those shot landing(if I'm lucky lol) I've been trying to figure out ways to lower my ping but haven't had really much luck. (sometimes I straight just miss the shots though in all truth and that's fine losing a BR fight that way honestly imo)
I'm no demon but until recently I've been concentrating on "aiming" and getting melted. Then I tried strafing not to be a harder target... but to activate aim assist. And it's been a revelation. I'm on MnK though so it might be different... but my understanding is AA only activates when you're moving. Just keeping your A/D keys or left stick moving while shooting and getting used to that might help. I sort of use a rhythm to move while pressing shoot. Let the AA do the work for you. Just tiny movements should be enough to "activate" it. I'm definitely going into 1v1's with more confidence. I used to avoid them cuz I could never finish the last shot... now, it's better. I still suck but I guess I need to add Pieing lol.
@@SGFeLLoN Have you tried DNSbench? It will run a test to see which DNS servers are fastest for your location / isp and you can apply that to your PC / Xbox or router. I went from averaging 60 ping to 37 ping (as low as 15) after changing the DNS servers on my PC. I check it every once in a while to see if they've changed and sometimes the secondary DNS becomes slower for some reason and I just change it again. Google and Cloudflare actually show up in the middle of the pack speed wise. They are probably reliable but for speed try seeing what DNS Bench says.
no it depends on where and what they're using but controller is more constant as most if infinite is based around strafe due to the very high frictional aim assist controller gets.
@@VanadamYT Both have ups and downs. It’s a balance, If most people spent as much time mastering their chosen controls as they do making excuses they would be surprised how much better they could actually get. You have a choice on inputs and a choice on what you want to dedicate to. Both with ups and downs, every halos AIM’ing mechanics has ups and downs as well as the weapons themselves , the mechanics of the gun, hit scan not hit scan, scope or no descope. From Rev sniping on reach, leading your aim on halo 3, or no scoping with the beam rifle on halo 4. It’s funny people are talking about left stick aiming when it’s just what good people have been doing all along. Stop making excuses and focus on achieving whatever you want from the game. Wins, KD, damage, accuracy. Go get what you want
@@BeYoND_9000 it’s not excuses it’s fact. In fact aiming in this game is extremely easy, compare to halo 3 accuracy it’s about 5-10% less then halo infinite when you look at the numbers. This is the only halo that was tracking. The reason they added it was because of strafe momentum of the enemy in thinking. What I’m saying in other halos like halo 1-3 you used right sticking aiming way way more which allowed you to use left stick to actually strafe to throw your enemy off, but now strafing is just mirroring the enemy... which is really boring and easy to shoot people. There is tons of videos on it on UA-cam that go into great detail on this subject and why the tracking is really bad. By the way the I have no excuses I’m in the top 1% of players in ranked, so I’m not terrible at this game. Although, I don’t have the time to to get really good at this game like I has in halo 1-3, I just hate how boring the gun fights are in this game because of having to mirror enemy movements
